IRM Is Sucking Diesel As Fuel Oil Tank Wagon Announced
DJ Dangerous replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
LOL, calm down, take deep breaths, and you'll be grand. I'm sure one of the lads will be on over the next few days to explain what happened. Think I paid for my NIR Mk2B/C coaches about two years before they arrived, so a few days here and there is tolerable. I get that that, of course, but @Warbonnet did then say that they're nearly here, only this week. Probably something simple like the ship was delayed or customs were slow. IRM's new logistics guy is pretty sharp, no flies on him, and he wants his fuel oil tanks just as much as anybody else, LOL -

The update wasn't good enough, or the container not arriving wasn't good enough? -

IRM Is Sucking Diesel As Fuel Oil Tank Wagon Announced

@Warbonnet posted on Tuesday that they are not far away: I'm sure they won't be long arriving! -
The DCC decoders for the new Murphy Models 141's / 181's seem a little expensive at €45 / €155, compared to previous DCC decoders. https://irishrailwaymodels.com/en-eu/collections/dcc-decoders?sort_by=created-descending Is there some sort of reasoning behind that? Mark's Models have them advertised a good bit cheaper, but I'm wondering if it's just that nobody has been given accurate pricing info, yet? http://www.marksmodels.com/?cid=51

IRM Is Sucking Diesel As Fuel Oil Tank Wagon Announced
DJ Dangerous replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
I'm nearly sure that there was a mailout the other day about the grain wagons, where they also said that the fuel oil tanks were a week or two away. -
Nope, it's the un-numbered variant: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/heljan-2680-class-26-br-blue-unnumbered-dual-braked A lot of the Heljan diesels are offered un-numbered.

Well, the postie dropped this off a while ago... Looks a bit large for OO Gauge, and feels like it's about 3kg...

Another thing with the NIR Mk2B/C's is the build quality. So far, no loose bits floating around in the boxes, and they feel sturdy when held. Not afraid of breaking anything by picking them up.

A sound chip would be nice...

Likewise, Rich, can't wait to see the IE ones. These, as were the RPSI sets, are just sublime.

Yes!!! IRM order has finally arrived! Don't have time to look properly right now, have to rush, but at a glance...

Probably cheaper and easier to wait until people get in touch and request them. Branching off from that question, let's say somebody bought a pack of NIR coaches, doesn't bother requesting the correct bogies for them, then sells them on. Will the subsequent buyer be entitled to free replacement bogies, or have to buy them? Has anybody tried retrofitting the new IRM bogies onto a Murphy Models Mk2D coach? And has anybody tried swapping out the narrow gauge British bogies on the IRM NIR coaches for the Irish gauge ones? Maybe @BosKonay could merge this duplicate NIR Mk2B/C thread with the main one here: https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/10440-irm-announce-nir-enterprise-mark-2-coaches Silly to be spamming the forum with duplicate threads on the same topic.
