  1. Or at least two big O Gauge diesels from Rails if Sheffield!
  2. Finished at over a grand…
  3. A couple of Murphy Models Cravens at €65 each: https://www.ebay.es/itm/315748905199 https://www.ebay.es/itm/315748960149 https://www.ebay.es/itm/116323888226
  4. For now, we’ll brand this one a success. Second one will have to wait until tomorrow.
  5. This one does appear to have worked out. Just a bit more assembly and then onto the second one.
  6. Under the boss’s watchful eye...
  7. Probably well worth the full price, but great to nab a bargain every now and then.
  8. So, while we have the two 40cm Billy’s stored for a rainy day, we might as well get cracking on assembling Tuesday’s two 80’s.
  9. Check out these smashing looking beasts from Heljan, now reduced from £729 GBP and £749 GBP to only £395 GBP! See the FULL LIST HERE, at Rails of Sheffield. Would kill for a late BR blue model but can't budget for one at the moment.
  10. Talk about being a glutton for punishment… Haven’t even assembled the two 80’s that I prepped yesterday, but I collected two 40’s today for the opposite wall, and the Hogbo doors for them, and extra shelves for the next six 80’s. Let’s see what tomorrow brings, today, being technical about it.
  11. All cut and ready for assembly some day soon… And, speaking of BR Blue and RailFreight Grey:
  12. Shocked smiley:
  13. That second-last photo, showing off the RailFreight and BR blue liveries, is savage!
  14. The Kallax with doors will be donated to work. The open Kallax will move to the back wall, for the cats. The Billy’s will eventually get the full wall. These two, and two more if I can get my hands on any, will complete one wall.
  15. I borrowed Drillasaurus from work, but he’s overheating just as badly as Drilly McMelterson was, last time. Drilling finished, wish I had another few hours but assembly will have to wait for another day. Might get some of the cutting done tonight, but not sure. The colony cats are waiting…
  16. I’d forgotten just how tedious the measuring, marking and scoring was! All four panels are done on one side, now. Slowly working through the other side. Hope to get them at least drilled out tonight.
  17. MiniChamps Mercedes arrived recently but I haven’t had a chance to unbox it, yet:
  18. Well, finally getting my March break, so it’s time for more IKEA Billy assembly… But… Are these the last of the Billy’s? Are IKEA discontinuing them? In stock in both Spain and Ireland, but not so en Canarias. Dun dun duuuunnnnn!
  19. Hefty kickbacks from Heljan and IRM for abusing my power, sssshhhhhhhhhh...
  20. Don't worry, DJD has you covered: https://irishrailwaymodels.com/en-eu/collections/in-stock?sort_by=price-descending
  21. Sounds like Customs up in Ireland have been taking lessons from Customs in Madrid! Only eleven odd weeks to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, then another three to Christmas. How does the time pass so quickly???
  22. And after eating too much Italian Mixed Peel...
  23. Thanks for that. I knew it was something slightly uncommon! Also found Railway Mania, for anybody interested: https://www.railwaymania.net/contact
  24. Rails of Sheffield are offering 10% off everyting in their "PRE-OWNED" section, until midnight tonight. Use the code AUTUMN10 at the checkout. Important note: Rails do not deduct UK VAT from their pre-owned stock, so you'll pay the UK VAT price PLUS Irish VAT. Lots of Irish stuff available: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-cie-irish-rail-a-001-class-irm115-054-diesel-locomotive https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-ie-class-216-river-dodder-diesel-locomotive https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-ie-class-230-river-bandon-diesel-locomotive-3-coaches-train-pack https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-set-of-3-ic-mk2-passenger-coaches https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-set-of-3-ie-mk2-passenger-coaches https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-set-of-3-nir-intercity-passenger-coaches https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-irish-rail-class-181-ie-orange-192-diesel-locomotive https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-irish-rail-class-141-cie-black-b141-diesel-locomotive https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-irish-rail-class-181-cie-black-b181-diesel-locomotive https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-irish-rail-class-181-ie-orange-184-diesel-locomotive https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-irish-rail-class-141-ir-orange-156-diesel-locomotive And a few Cavalex locos: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-highly-detailed-deluxe-weathered-class-56-120-br-blue-large-logo-diesel-locomotive https://railsofsheffield.com/products/pre-owned-class-56-093-tinsley-celebrity-br-blue-large-logo-diesel-locomotive https://railsofsheffield.com/products/cavalex-models-cm-56008-brb-po-pre-owned-class-56-008-br-blue-livery-diesel-locomotive After seeing this video, or more, hearing it, a Cavalex Class 56 should be on everybody's wish list:
  25. What's the best way of doing so? I remember something about clear transfer paper and laser printers but don't remember the specifics. Who? Definitely not SSM nor Railtec, who are the only two I know of. I'm waiting about a year now on custom transfers from Railtec, so they obviously either don't do them any more, or have a backlog longer than that.
