  1. Happy camper to receive this parcel in the post today. Wow. Something else. The A's were special, but the definition and detail on this seems to go up a notch. And it's whisper quiet. Thing could murder you in your sleep.
  2. I received an email from Rails of Sheffield saying that Cavalex are releasing a Class 60, currently at tooling stage. Wonder if anybody else will beat them to the punch.
  3. Sounds like two more, on top of the first two... As @Maynersays, it's the political fallout, the trains being delivered two years behind schedule, plus the indirect costs. Much as they claim no financial loss, that's extremely unlikely. On top of that, there's a loss of confidence in those responsible. If they get this wrong, what else can they be trusted with? So out with the guillotine!
  4. Still at it, @MOGUL! Thanks, keep those ContainerShips reefers flowing!
  5. Two boxes and two interesting trailers just off the TF-1 at the Chio roundabout just now:
  6. More heads rolling: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-64717605
  7. Rails of Sheffield have very frequent sales so if not snapped up by somebody, it might go on sale.
  8. There are a lot less retail options than there were ten or eleven years ago, plus, I'm not so sure that Adverts.ie is an auction site. I assume that post was to identify this thread as the non-eBay one, in which case, it's going pretty well! Rails ROG Class 47 20% off using code ROG20, only until Sunday 26th February: https://railsofsheffield.com/collections/class-47812-rail-operations-group Valid on all three variants; DC, DCC sound and custom weathered.
  9. Sorry, Daimler Fleetline is what I meant! So the EFE casting is useless for them?
  10. Nice slideshow of Irish transport photos. Mainly buses and trams. Quite a few Leyland LD looking vans. Nobody seems to do them in 1:76, only 1:43. Curious about the bus around 00:52. Looks like one of those EFE Leyland Atlanteans.
  11. The Supra under the canopy! What a shot!
  12. I'd like to see some Darius compilations on YT. I could sit back and watch your clips for fifteen minutes and still be glued to the screen.
  13. A few random boxes just before the turn-off for Ifonche, at the bottom of La Escalona just now. There are some sort of apparently abandoned construction projects on both sides of the road, so I'm assuming that these boxes have been bought / borrowed / rented / stolen for something to do with the projects.
  14. Baccy = Bachmann.
  15. Sounds painful. Wouldn't happen if your distribution centre was somewhere neutral. And sunny.
  16. Probably defeats the purpose of the streamlining. Too many different VAT and customs regimes around the world. Easier to sell it as is and let the recipient pay tax on arrival. Plus, you have the incompetent boobs at An Post who are going to ignore the DDP paperwork as they frequently do, then Accurascale have to deal with even more work because of the subsequent claims.
  17. My Estrella sleepers appear to be about 305mm-ish.
  18. How about your ONE customer in the Canary Islands? Part of Spain but not part of the EU for customs and taxes. Postage also difficult due to the geography, usually more expensive.
  19. Kind of the same thing. I paid what I thought was insane money for a 111 last year, and they're now going for one and a half times that. What's a bargain to one may be a rip-off to another, and what's a price-gouge today may be a bargain tomorrow. Plus, that Bachmann steam set was savage value. No way you could say that wasn't a bargain.
  20. Thanks! I'd never heard of them until a year or so back, and never seem to see their products for sale anywhere.
  21. If you go back a year or two, 141's and 181's outstripped 071's for resale value, or at least were on par. The arrival of the 121's and the A's, combined with the likelihood of a new run of 141's / 181's has put paid to the resale prices to some extent. If IRM or Paddy Murphy were to say that they were working on an 071 / 111 project and hoping to have it on the shelves in two or three years time, I reckon that would eat into the resale value of the 071's to some extent. Not for all, obviously, but for many people, I believe that it would make a difference. If not, then maybe next year they'll literally be selling for €750 a pop.
  22. Yup, I saw that they have a website.
