  1. You mean on your must-be-soon-to-be-announced Mk4 DVT's? For an idiot, "sound-fitted" means loco and decoder sold as a bundle? Or a hard-wired decoder? And non-sound can or can't be upgraded with a sound decoder?
  2. But to Hell with Fran? No thanks to you, Fran, you did nothing!
  3. In the message that you quoted, it says to email the lads.
  4. They pop up on eBay every few weeks for under the £20 GBP mark. There are a constant stream of them for way over that amount, obviously.
  5. This. Exactly this. IRM 141's / 181's would definitely sell out at this point in time, but IRM probably have their rollouts planned 24 months ahead. Using the A to test the water for price / quality / quantity, it would still mean finding time to do the research and development. Not so sure about the C Class for three reasons. Firstly, it's too similar an era to the A Class. With so much to cover both before and after the A, launching a loco from the same period may not make sense. It would be like doing a second run of A's. Secondly, saying that the C would be easier because it's similar to the A etc doesn't sound like IRM's modeus operandi. They've shown that it's about quality, attention to detail, innovation value for money. A C Class would probably be built from the ground up, not using much, if anything, from the A Class. And, third, an 071 or a Hunslett would go far better with the upcoming NIR coach packs. A steamer seems likely at some stage, but with literally nothing RTR to go with it, I'd expect to see an older coach model before a steamer, something that overlaps steam and diesel.
  6. Somebody (not Boskonay obviously) will be on shortly to troll us and say "You never know" or something similar...
  7. That would make 2023 a memorable and expensive year.
  8. I'd suggest grabbing an A Class and a 121 now. IRM have limited stocks of three variants of the A left, and the sold-out A's are already changing hands for over €250. Likewise with the 121's, grab one now and sell it in six months if you change your mind. You certainly won't lose money on it.
  9. Thanks, TTC! I can't really see the difference in your photo, the scales look incredibly close, but when I look at my own models, the scales look way off!
  10. Will IRM's P47 Flats come with Unit 45's, BLS's, Samskip's and Dana's?
  11. Is that timber truck a 1:87 Herpa model? The white Scania behind doesn't look much bigger. I find the difference between 1:87 and 1:76 very noticeable in the trucks.
  12. Congratulations! IRM going from strength to strength. The Mk4 sets or P47's will surely win next year.
  13. I had a feeling they were more suited to the sewenties alright, but the "post-1963" description of the logo had me curious. Both green A42 and black A55 would have hauled Cement Bubbles? With JMD's grey post-1963 brakevan?
  14. Sure that would barely be enough for WRENNEIRE, never mind everybody else.
  15. So both the silver A30 and the green A42 would pair well with John's grey pre-1963 RTR brakevan 23543? All-black A55 and green A42 would be correct alongside both of John's post-1963 RTR brakevans, brown 23544 and grey 23580? A55 and A42 would also look correct beside the single-stripe MM Cravens coaches?
  16. Of the last three liveries in stock, which ran from when to when, and how widely used were they? The green A42 is really eye-catching. Did many of the fleet receive that livery?
  17. I have a few of John's open wagons sitting idly with customs, which will trail behind the earlier locos.
  18. Well, you wouldn't, would you? Anyhow, enough said, hopefully you have learned that not everybody will fall for it. Keep up the videos, photos and tutorials, please, but drop the bullying. Back to the models, and I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but the photos don't do A30 and A42 justice. They are two stunning models. I can't believe that there are so many A30's left in stock. To the eye, they are just beautiful. To anybody on the fence, get off it now and get yourself one before it's too late.
  19. Agreed, well put. That's not to say that we shouldn't call the bullies out. Being respectful doesn't mean accepting unacceptable behaviour or pretending to be mannerly. Personally, I love the videos and photos that members post here, and on YT, even if some of them are elitist bullies at times, I try not to allow it colour my enjoyment of the trains themselves. I just refrain from doing so myself because of those same people.
  20. Noel, are you for real? You're the one who is always on here leaving passive aggressive comments saying that people " should" do this, that and the other, and repeatedly criticising anybody who doesn't have time or space to play with their trains. Before I joined the forum, I lurked for a few years because I thought that a handful of member were bullying you, and I didn't want to join that kind of forum. Eventually I got on board, only to find that you are what is wrong with the forum, constantly provoking a reaction with passive aggressive comments, then playing victim. The whole point of my advance defence was because I suspected that you and your handful of elitist snob friends would start bitching about playing with trains instead of admiring them, and now you have the cheek to say that it's a broad church, blah blah blah? Go crawl back under whatever rock you came out from. Anyhow, back on topic, I folded up a piece of A4 paper and slotted it into the foam, and the display results are much better.
  21. Yeah, so you can look down your nose at working peasants like us with little or no free time? Nice!
  22. Any chance of a light grey foam insert next time, lads??? The black doesn't display too well. Anybody have ideas on how to display the locos using the packaging? I'm playing with ideas, and have so far settled on the method to the right in the photo. And to the "trains are to be played with" brigade, pee off, I'm not interested, go get a job.
