  1. If I recall correctly from a pevious thread, the 48 Tonne stenciling was for the reinforced wagons capable of hauling peat briquettes. Think that H Gricer posted that info.
  2. Small announcement as in the character count of the announcement is small? Or the font is small? Or it's a small run? Or the product itself is small? Because I've yet to see an IRM announcement that I consider small! Green Dublin buses, a footbridge, CIE drivers, wagon loads or a Keg Liner re-run??? Or Deltics back in stock, maybe?
  3. I was wondering if the thousand-strong estimate was a little bit small. Plus there are non-direct buyers who will buy at physical shops, at shows, or from trusted retailers and sellers. There was a second-hand A30 for sale at Hattons a month or two back. Don't have a screenshot to hand, but I'm almost sure it sold for more than IRM are selling them for. Hard to gauge but I'm sure it wouldn't be much of a stretch to say that there are another thousand or more who will buy non-direct... So, 15 x 071 variants at 504 units each, we buy two locos each and they're all sold! Imagine if IRM sold via Hattons, Rails, Kernow etc. There'd be murder on here, as there wouldn't be enough availability for Irish buyers to even get one loco each. The market would quadruple overnight.
  4. That sounds perfect to me... But also, how amazing is it to have a manufacturer of our niche within a niche within a niche hobby, ask for feedback, take it on board, and respond in kind??? Hmmmmm, maybe I'm reading too much into that post... Accurascale Mk2B/C crossovers TO COME... So another Irish Mk2B/C that we don't yet know about, aside from the RPSI an NIR variants???
  5. Anything to help! I'm sure I could probably manage to offer homes to two of them at a push. Safer down here with the risk of Russia nuking you guys up there...
  6. I'm sure that there'll be a few up on the .eu site over the coming weeks!
  7. Sounds like the timber markers were removed, at the very least, but I wonder if there were any other differences externally? IRM pallets of briquettes next!
  8. If you ever decide that you need to move an Atlantean off-site to make way for a new arrival... What's that phrase? Oh yeah, i know a man...
  9. The possible list of announcements was: https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/11116-0mg-magnesite-wagons-next-for-irm/page/3/#comment-178186 But Boskonay cautioned us that: https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/11116-0mg-magnesite-wagons-next-for-irm/page/3/#comment-178210 I imagine that one of the announcements will have a vague P42 connection: https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/11612-new-announcement-give-your-depot-a-lift-with-cie-forklifts/#comment-180512 Or a strong one: https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/11461-irm-kegs-wanted/#comment-177221 But, to be honest, I'm looking at the bank balance, and selfishly praying for more delays!
  10. I see one on eBay! https://www.ebay.es/itm/325251431302
  11. When I go to view locos, there was no drop down menu at all until yesterday, but there are filters under the locomotive category, showing the 31. Screenshot attached.
  12. Found it. Life-Like Trains Proto 2000 BL2 chassis: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proto_2000_BL2
  13. What size will the 22000 formations be after these arrive? They currently exist only in three and five car formations? Obviously they can be coupled into sixes, eights and tens, I know.
  14. Looks lovely. What the Hell is a Porto 2000 chassis?
  15. Not big enough, and it doesn't float. Wrong colours, too, needs to be blue and white. And what's all this about 1200h today???
  16. There are probably many people who don't have the luxury of baseboards, tables etc, who will run their trains on carpet, so Sam's Trains caters for them. As Sean says, testing under difficult conditions like carpet is probably fairer than testing under ideal conditions. Reading the comments under the various YT videos, people seem absolutely enthralled with the 55's; the quality, the innovation, the features and the value. I guess that none of them had experienced the IRM A's! One recurring theme in the reviews and comments is how Accurascale have set the bar for other to follow.
  17. I think that EU shipping is done via the accurascale.eu website. Are they out of stock on the .eu site?
  18. The comments under Sam's review should have the IRM lads (14 of them now?) blushing, almost nothing but compliments and people raving about the loco:
  19. I'm guessing that the plated-over headcode models are the newer ones?
  20. So if I sort new to old on the website, it's the models rather than the prototypes, that I'm sorting? Are all of the TOPS ones the same sort of age?
  21. How does one tell which of the BR blue livery Class 55 is the newest? The only thing that I know about is pre-TOPS and TOPS, but there are so many different variants. Sorting "New to Old" on the website doesn't quite seem to sort them in that order.
  22. The models must be / have been incredibly high fidelity, based on their OO Gauge pricing. A shame that there seems to have been some sort of legal issue the last couple of years. From their FB page, it appears that a former partner / employee has branched off to do the same thing himself, with a new partner, under a different name.
