Hi Guys. Just wondering if the site is having issues with email notifications at the moment? I'm not receiving email notifications of private messages or thread updates the past couple of days. I've checked my notification settings here on the forum and they are definitely correct. I've also checked my SPAM folder, and the odd email does end up in there alright, but nothing at all the past few days. Thaks!

The video won't play properly for me. Audio only, just a white screen for the video. Happens from time to time - somebody mentioned before that Apple or QuickTime uploads are problematic? Upload the video to YouTube and then share the link here and more people will be able to see what the problem with the couplers is.

Yeah, as @murphaph says, I think that @LMSNCC means that they'd have to buy more than one set of each, F, G or H, to create a prototypical-length rake. Renumbering, or weathering via somebody like @Dempsey and obscuring some of the digits would also work.

That's the beauty of the debate on the free market vs. price gouging... It's easy to see both sides of the debate. A3R was a very limited run, for a good cause. Many folk lost out as they sold out so fast. If you'd lost out to another enthusiast, you woudn't mind so much, as it's still gone to a good home, and the money went to a good cause, but if you lost out because somebody bought it solely to sell for double the price a month later, you'd feel hard done by. At the same time, I bought a few A3R's, three of which will be gifts next year. Looking at those prices, I feel sick NOT auctioning them off to fund the charity. I could pay for a lot of operations with an extra €400, or probably two or three weeks worth of food and medicines. Two sides of the same coin. Somebody will always feel aggrieved at losing out, somebody will always be looking to make a profit no matter the cost.

Any chance of hearing the two chips in a single video to compare?

If you post the link to where the photo is published online, maybe somebody will know who the author is.

Not a chance!

Just received my first parcel of A's in the post today. A few more parcels slowly winding their way down here. Had a quick glance in between jobs, and have to say, wow, what a loco. Won't get a chance to run any of them for a while, but they look stunning, out of this world. The level of detail is phenomenal. One question: Are the CAWS protective guards, or will they be, available seperately? They'd be a smashing for upgrading some of the IR locos in their most recent guise.

€350 and I'll think about releasing an A3R! Christmas special.

Thinking back to my school days, I remember one of the guys, a well-educated, pleasant, intelligent guy, got big into "tagging". He used to call himself "Rez", I think, and he and his friends called themselves the SBC, Stealth Bomber Crew. I have no idea what their motivation was, what they got from it, why they did it, but i know that they did it a lot. They must have been around sixteen at the time, and were not deprived kids in any way.

Outstanding news! I can see a lot of Christmas stockings being filled with those... Unless you have some buses or trucks to announce this side of Christmas! Did the Ammonias run on black Y33's? Would the red or brown work for people who bought Spoil wagons to de-spoil for their C-Rail containers, but want something pre-black bogie era? I'm sure that @jhb171achill posted somewhere that black bogies on the flats are only around since the early 2010's.

Pfft, won't even be worth half that when the IRM ones hit the shelves...

This truly is / was an incredible sale. I had already over-indulged beforehand so couldn't dabble, but there have to have been a lot of people who were very very happy with this one!
