  1. Excellent, thank you! I've just ordered a few from DC Kits.
  2. The Bell reefers have been out of stock forever!
  3. Irish steam with no RTR Tin Vans??? Forget it!
  4. So there were only ever two Tool vans, both ex-TPO conversions? So when did they enter service as Tool Vans, and when did they retire? What trains were they used on?
  5. I've seen IR / IE "Tool Vans" released by the wonderful John, and by the pioneering Silver Fox, but I know nothing about them. A quick search on the forum reveals zero results in content titles, so I thought I'd ask, in case anybody else is ignorant like me. What are they for, from when until when did they run, in both IR and IE liveries, what did they replace, what were they replaced with, and with what train did they run? Are they an integral part of something for which we already have available in RTR form, like Spoils or Weedspray? They look suspiciously like Tin Vans, so I'm sure JHB will be on the floor with laughter at me posting this thread. "See, DJ, they DO have a use in the real world! They're not just for old-timey homogenous-steam-loco worshippers"...
  6. Free grey 071's for the first three likes?
  7. Just as I'd assumed.
  8. Another excellent post!!! Thank you! P.S.: It says "Full IR" just after the Fert Liners.
  9. "Full IR' probably means IR with the white stripes. "IR" probably means ST livery with the IR logo tacked on.
  10. Medication time, JHB...
  11. I thought you were gonna post a picture of JHB when I saw the caption.
  12. Wow, looks kind of like a broken down old-timey bus, but at least they knew that railcars were the heart of the railways!
  13. LOL, so quick to knock what was once a pioneering model... What will you be saying about the A Class in two years time (when IRM release their 22000's)???
  14. Never know, we could be lucky and have the 22000's in model form one day. For now, we can but silently hope.
  15. Four hours to go until medication. I'll post a picture when it happens.
  16. Pfft. He meant CAF Mk4's and 29000 DMU's, duh.
  17. I'm getting this wierd deja-vu feeling. Isn't there a thread about what determines a re-run, covering the same topic, more or less? Maybe a mod could merge the two?
  18. He obviously has a load of them stashed for gouging!
  19. But I only have a finite number of walls to display them on. At this rate, I'll be building dividing walls all over the place just to display the models in their boxes! That's a fabulous list, Blaine. Clicking "Like" once doesn't seem enough. Might be an idea, if it were possible, to put some sort of graphic on the website, reflecting Blaine's list? Or even to have the first item on the "Features" list for each loco identifying the appropriate stock? As in "This X livery loco no. X will be ideal for hauling A, B, C, D, E etc" ...
  20. So, you're saying that I need to buy a lot more A Classes than I thought...
  21. So, of the above, which would have run with which livery A-Class?
  22. That's the crux of it right there for a manufacturer. Finding the right point in the supply/demand curve to start on a project that might take them a few years to deliver.
  23. Slightly off-topic and slightly-on, but of our current / possible-near-future roster of MM and IRM RTR rolling stock, both passenger and freight, what would suit which A Class? Single-stripe Cravens... Twin-stripe cravens... ST Mk2D's... IR Mk2D's... IE Mk2D's... Not sure if they ever hauled any of the Mk3's on a regular basis at all? Ballast wagons... IRM weedspray train is probably too new? Gypsums... Blue Tara's... Red Tara's... Orange Bubbles... Grey Bubbles... Ivory Bubbles... 42' Container Liners... Fert Liners... Guinness Keg Liners... Would be nice to have a kind of compatibility list or chart. I haven't included Silver Fox or IFM stock as it is not / was not exactly readily available.
  24. I understand you now. Yeah, that goes without saying. The A's and 121's have raised the bar on the technical side of things, lessons have been learned with the 121 hand-rails, vacuum hoses and packaging, but the technical side of things is now 15 odd years on from when the 141's were first released. But we will see more of them at some stage, from one manufacturer or another, of that I am confident.
  25. Sorry, but I haven't a clue what you're trying to say. In one breath it looks like you're saying that nobody will release 141's etc in the future, and in another it looks like you're saying that somebody will have to release them.
