Sure that would barely be enough for WRENNEIRE, never mind everybody else.

So both the silver A30 and the green A42 would pair well with John's grey pre-1963 RTR brakevan 23543? All-black A55 and green A42 would be correct alongside both of John's post-1963 RTR brakevans, brown 23544 and grey 23580? A55 and A42 would also look correct beside the single-stripe MM Cravens coaches?

Well, you wouldn't, would you? Anyhow, enough said, hopefully you have learned that not everybody will fall for it. Keep up the videos, photos and tutorials, please, but drop the bullying. Back to the models, and I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but the photos don't do A30 and A42 justice. They are two stunning models. I can't believe that there are so many A30's left in stock. To the eye, they are just beautiful. To anybody on the fence, get off it now and get yourself one before it's too late.

Agreed, well put. That's not to say that we shouldn't call the bullies out. Being respectful doesn't mean accepting unacceptable behaviour or pretending to be mannerly. Personally, I love the videos and photos that members post here, and on YT, even if some of them are elitist bullies at times, I try not to allow it colour my enjoyment of the trains themselves. I just refrain from doing so myself because of those same people.

Noel, are you for real? You're the one who is always on here leaving passive aggressive comments saying that people " should" do this, that and the other, and repeatedly criticising anybody who doesn't have time or space to play with their trains. Before I joined the forum, I lurked for a few years because I thought that a handful of member were bullying you, and I didn't want to join that kind of forum. Eventually I got on board, only to find that you are what is wrong with the forum, constantly provoking a reaction with passive aggressive comments, then playing victim. The whole point of my advance defence was because I suspected that you and your handful of elitist snob friends would start bitching about playing with trains instead of admiring them, and now you have the cheek to say that it's a broad church, blah blah blah? Go crawl back under whatever rock you came out from. Anyhow, back on topic, I folded up a piece of A4 paper and slotted it into the foam, and the display results are much better.

Any chance of a light grey foam insert next time, lads??? The black doesn't display too well. Anybody have ideas on how to display the locos using the packaging? I'm playing with ideas, and have so far settled on the method to the right in the photo. And to the "trains are to be played with" brigade, pee off, I'm not interested, go get a job.

Saw that one for €700... Shocking price, but as @murphaph pointed out, "good" based on the standards set by today's gougers. €700 means €220 for the loco and €120 each for the four sets of Keg Liners... https://touch.adverts.ie/models/models-railways/26078965 Few "bargains" on eBay for comparison... Various 141's / 181's at €300 each: https://www.ebay.es/sch/kellystownbank/m.html €360 plus shipping: https://www.ebay.es/itm/265527750062 €390 plus shipping: https://www.ebay.es/itm/224834939186 €400 plus shipping: https://www.ebay.es/itm/115237546300 Fancy a coach or two? €150 each plus shipping: https://www.ebay.es/itm/144410223770 https://www.ebay.es/itm/144410223744 Not having a go at any of the sellers, it's a free market, but personally I find the hyper inflated prices shocking.

Outstanding! Why did the guy in the Qashquai pull the handbrake and start chasing down the Range Rover?
-
Less typing and more action!
-
How did you do all of the different destinations on the buses???
-
I'm seeing MM, Lima, Bachmann and IRM in the title of each loco... EDIT: I'm reading them more and more slowly each time but the titles aren't changing... What kind of witchcraft is this?
-
I'm confused... Are they MM, Lima, Bachmann or IRM? And when did IRM release 201's? The sly dogs!
-
Were the little flats for the containers different to these flats? Were the dolomites just converted ballasts or were they different altogether?
-
Something that I've been wondering about the "Ballast" chassis, or what we can probably call the "Classic" IRM chassis, is if IRM have any plans to introduce an easy to re-gauge version at some stage? Not wanting to remove the thunder of today's launch, by the way! The stage that I am at, personally, is collecting. I work too much, then do voluntary work at night, so even running trains in often takes me months. However, in ten or twenty years, that won't be the case, and I'll likely be faced with the mammoth task of re-gauging to 21mm... If all of the junk food and lack of exercise doesn't kill me before then. If IRM were to release a re-gaugable 22' chassis at some stage, onto which current bodies could be swapped, that would certainly remove some of the headache, but would probably be expensive for anybody with a large collection. I wonder if re-tooling the "Classic" 22' chassis to make it easy to re-gauge at some point would be likely? Then using the re-tooled re-gaugable version for future 22' releases, and offering it for sale with no bodies for anybody wishing to swap over the excellent bodies from any of the current 22' IRM range? I imagine that there would be an additonal cost involved for the first batch of wagons released with the re-tooled Classic chassis, but the cost of subsequent 22' wagon releases shouldn't be affected too much, I'd guess?

They look stunning Had to order a rake immediately... Will definitely end up ordering more every payday, too. And to my pleasant surprise, the whole lot fits into a 2kg parcel so it's only €20 shipping down here!

They don't look like they are ballast wagons underneath the lid.
