  1. Thought I'd eaten too many SuperQuinn sausages for a moment.
  2. That's IWC1005. It was IWC1006-1 and IWC1006-2 that vanished. I thought that they were pictured here, too, but I must have been wrong. As of this morning, both still show up in the search preview, so I assume it's a website / hosting glitch. If so, maybe there really was an image in the OP here, which also vanished due to the glitch, and I'm not hallucinating.
  3. I'm not sure if it's a browser issue my end or what, but the other day there were 8 products listed, and two of them seem to have disappeared since, the two covered vans.
  4. ...although Rails are also offering the "What If" APT-E for sale, with a valid SKU, so unless Rapido have fooled Rails, too...
  5. What sort of censored hole reports something that they have sunscribed to, as SPAM? Delighted that it's sorted either way, thank you!
  6. Not sure if it's of any use, but yesterday, I started receiving email notifications from the forum again. I'd received the odd email over the past few months, but yesterday and today seem to have been receiving the correct amount. Not a SPAM issue, as I've been checking my SPAM folder regularly.
  7. That'll be worth waiting for. Get better soon!
  8. Have they already sold out on pre-order? Can't find them on the website. Will you be launching a decoder for them with maybe Ford Transit sounds?
  9. Although, I have a Bachmann Class 166 repaint in the post as we speak, so a 22000 would be better for me!
  10. Or maybe May or October this year, who knows?
  11. Might be an idea to split this thread before it goes too far off the rails... On the topic of advertising, it doesn't bother me at all when using the PC, but drives me insane when using the mobile due to the percentage of screen space taken.
  12. Pretty sure postage cost has always been covered, presumably as an anti-fraud measure... So that you couldn't declare a €500 purchase with €5 shipping as a €5 purchase with €500 shipping.
  13. Until you pass away and she can fill a swimming pool with money. Your coffin will get a standing ovation. P.S.: dibs on 171!
  14. I'm jealous that you have two of them to upgrade in the first place! All I have is the Bachmann 158!
  15. Is that a D&M 2600 that you've been having issues with? Looks amazing with the interior lighting!
  16. If you were to move the road and buildings highlighted in red, at the left hand side of the board, say about 90cm to the right, that would give 20cm extra functionality to each run of track. If you moved the station 20cm to the left, the road would arrive perfectly beside it. Not a criticism in any way, it just seems like the board is 20cm shorter than it could be due to the location of that particular road and those buildings. I know that you're building / have built a hill in the top right corner of the board, but maybe swapping that to the other end of the board would work.
  17. Damn it, I was hoping to grab another A42 at the end of April! Watching the stock counters roll down makes payday seem soooooo far away.
  18. I must confess that I AM one of the clowns (talking more about myself than anybody else, with the benefit of hindsight) who paid over the odds. 077 was the last one missing from my collection, aside from the gouger's dreams, freight grey and NIR, so I paid about €250 for her. All of the rest were between €150 and €200.
  19. I'd say it's more about budgeting. Anybody looking to buy the remaining three will buy the most scarse when they can afford it. A30 is stunning, and A42 is a jaw dropper. You have to see them both in person! Even if all you had for them to hall was a few of John's open wagons (still available), or even some Hornby five-planks painted primer grey, it would be worth buying as those two A's look so good. Why don't you guys have a drooling smiley, like the way you drool while eating sausages. That would be more appropriate here!
  20. It actually IS too bad, when you realise that it's a locomotive, the same as any other, inside an 071 Class shell. The MM 071 is a gorgeous model, don't get me wrong, but under the skin, it's no different to an IRM A Class or a Bachmann Class 37. Once somebody is happy paying €150 for what's inside the body and another €150 to €250 for the body itself, if we break things down, then good for them. Thanks to you, I only use my Sniper nowadays for eBay. Set your bid, walk away and hope for the best. It means that I lose out on a lot of models, but it means not paying insane money that I can't justify or would rather spend on something else. For example, is an 071 really worth two, or even three, brand new A Class locos? To the buyer, in that exact heated moment of madness, sure, but when you sit back to rationalise in that way... No. To anybody longing for an 071, plonk three A's beside a single 071 and ask yourself that question. A bespoke 071 would be different, as you're also paying for the time, effort and materials that went into the work.
  21. Well, technically second generation pretenders, as steam engines were pretenders following the era of the horses.
  22. That's it, on the nail! Old guys are going to remember steam fondly, middle-aged guys are going to remember diesels fondly, kids are going to remember 22000's fondly.
  23. Steam locos are nice and all, but for me, they don't hold a candle to the diesels. The 201 in particular, possibly because it wasn't banana shaped like the previous GM diesels, had a much bigger, more powerful presence. Still love the 071's!
  24. Haven't had time to run the trains in ages, but at least got out a few vehicles today to admire them...
