  1. Make it €2,000 even and I'll throw in this bus, great value as it is: https://www.ebay.ie/itm/144088695917?hash=item218c5b046d:g:IEEAAOSwoSVg1aL1
  2. I have a limited edition JM Designsbrake van for sale, €1,000, p&p not included.
  3. Private buyers like me? We don't pay VAT, never have. We pay IGIC locally instead. Most online retailers have recognised this, like IRM, Marks Models, Hattons, Rails etc, and they were not charging VAT here prior to BrExit. No change there, but a lot less slips under the radar since BrExit. Checks are far more thorough. I'm personally making out like a bandit because of Iceland supermarkets since BrExit. I doubt that the Iceland supermarket chain have lost so many British products due to VAT changes. I'd say that they've lost them due to having to import from a non-EU country. Extra standards to meet, extra rules to comply with, and extra red tape to fumble through. Plus the risk factor. A lot of their fresh foods have a very very short shelf life due to the time lost in transit. Some products arrive with only two days shelf life. If there is a delay for whatever reason, and the product can't be delivered and sold, it is lost. Less risky to buy EU products than British products, from their perspective.
  4. Does it float? Is it large, blue and white?
  5. Any hints? Will it be a re-run of something for the A's to haul, or will you burst my BUBBLE?
  6. Yes, yes, yes! I need more of these in my life! Now getting to the pinacle of the A Class, the golden era of Irish railways!
  7. I'm sure he's joking, sure what other colour could you choose? Green, black, white or Bunreacht blue are the only options, really, and green is the most attractive by far. No publicity is bad publicity... Just ordered a few and had them shipped to somebody up in Ireland for re-shipping to me!
  8. I'd definitely buy a special edition in this livery, along with the 1995 silver livery of A39R.
  9. Fabulous stuff, John!!!
  10. The seller appears to be OO Works themselves. The item description says to go to their website for a discount, where the loco is advertised £10 cheaper than on eBay.
  11. I was never in favour of BrExit, always struck me as a colonial divide-and-conquer ploy by the politicians, divide the people and keep the msquabbling so that they don't notice what the powerful are doing... But I have to say, I was wrong. Iceland here in Las Canarias can no longer get their British stuff, so they've been stocking Irish products since Christmas instead. Every pack of SuperQuinn sausages that I open, I thank the 52% who voted British products out of Europe.
  12. I took a very different stand on that... Ordering them WAS my therapy. Never fight your therapy.
  13. This following post got me wondering about why some people go out of their way to remove photographers' watermarks from photos. Obviously, @LARNE CABIN went to lengths to credit his sources in his post, so this is in no way aimed at him, but somebody somewhere has taken @Jonathan Allen's image, cropped out the lower area of the photo with the watermark, and re-published it online. Nobody subsequently donwloading the photo will know who the photographer is, nor will they be able to credit them. Why the Hell do people do this??? If anything, it makes it even harder to try fix a date and location in some cases, as the only reference at all with some sort of clue is gone.
  14. IRM have to release one over the coming years. Hold on to your 141's!
  15. IRM could take over and turn it into a giant showroom!
  16. Is the 1969 A39R the same as the 2015 A39R, or are there differences in lighting, staff catchers, CAWS etc?
  17. I may have to order an extra two and have them shipped via a friend up in Ireland... The latest photos have me drooling even more than usual.
  18. What's the A Class leaderboard looking like at the moment?
  19. Yes, I'm mad for the pallets! Love seeing them stacked and organised. 13 high to get them into the back of the truck without hitting the door. But also wondering just how many pallets of A Classes will be in the 40ft, and whether it's a standard 40ft or a PW 40ft. Could be something like 30 pallets if they're Euro's and it's a PW container.
  20. Absolutely stunning work! There are lots of lovely layouts on here, but over-populated with ugly old steam stuff. This, apart from being breathtaking, is a breath of fresh air.
  21. That's something else! Seriously, 141's for Christmas 2023, please!
  22. Shocking level of detail! The fan looks like it could actually spin. And, that cab detail is something else, never mind the illuminated dials. IRM have set the bar for what locos should be. When is the IRM 141 coming out???
  23. Wow! The 22000's are lovely looking as is, but I'm now visualising one of them painted in a chocolate and cream livery. Mmmmmmh, chocolate.
