  1. Fantastic to read this. Congratulations to everybody at IRM, and their ever-growing team. You deserve both awards, and then some. This right here! Apart from the quality of the models themselves, this sets you apart from everybody else. Nobody does customer interaction like IRM! Don't you mean a Class 319 "Retales", distant cousin to the 071???
  2. Sounds like a weeks work... At the end of which day?
  3. So you're saying that we need a 29000 next?
  4. I like the way you mention Mk4's first and Tin Vans last!
  5. That's awesome! So apart from being stunning looking no matter what, they wear two shades of beauty! Can't wait for a model of them.
  6. Are the 29's running in two different liveries concurrently?
  7. I reckon that a lot of blame lies with An Post. They are not capable of dealing with the logistics industry as it is today, not capable of training their staff, not capable of dealing with changes, and are generally still living in the eighties. As an anecdote, shipping from Ireland to Las Canarias was suspended in March 2020 due to Coronavirus. Shipping resumed three months later when we came out of lockdown and the flights started arriving. (Yes, we've been out of lockdown since June 2020). However, since then, the An Post website says that no shipping is available to Las Canarias. Yet if you walk into an actual An Post office, and they will send the stuff down here no problem. That's a year and a half that their website is out of date, and they have been contacted numerous times by various senders. If they can't get something that simple correct, how on earth will they survive BrExit, customs, VAT etc???
  8. Oh no you don't! Hold your horses there!!! Eh?
  9. Stunning looking model, and what an intricate livery to tackle! Like the Ballast Ploughs and the NIR generator coaches, it shows that IRM are not afraid to tackle a niche within a niche.
  10. Sure for all we know, Australia might not be back to normal before next summer. Until Australia declare themselves happy with their progress in the fight against Coronavirus, while hoping that there's no EU fallout from the AUKUS debacle, nobody can give you a firm date. When they're here, they're here, be it a year or two years or whatever.
  11. Sorry to be repeating my question, I'm not sure if it has been answered either prior to or post my posting. What are the boxed weights of the locos, including the special edition? Thanks!
  12. Have you no grey 071 to haul a train of spoil wagons?
  13. I don't believe in coincidences. Who do we know in Germany with a vested interest in hijacking this train? Looking at you, @murphaph
  14. It looks excellent!
  15. How did you manage to bank the curves like that? I tried but it was either not noticeable, or I had derailing on exiting the curves.
  16. Exactly. Those two locos will probably go for €450 each, so €900 for an appropriate loco or pay Chris less than a third of that for one in the correct livery.
  17. Insane when you can buy one from Chris Dyer, repainted into any livery you like, for less! PM must be facing quite the dilemma - get NIR locos out to haul the NIR coaches, or get coaches out that have only the A's available on the shelves to haul them.
  18. Ah Jaysus, Noel, they're only pre-production samples, don't be moaning!
  19. Hey, how come they're allowed a photo and we're not??? Going to look excellent together, but the Bachmann's will need IRM's magic "bogie and lighting" kits! Look at the bump stops and handles on the IRM coach! Incredible!
  20. I haven't visited personally as it's a few thousand km too far, but the TripAdvisor reviews don't seem all that bad: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g315868-d2534086-Reviews-or5-Fintown_Railway-Dungloe_County_Donegal.html#REVIEWS Maybe there is a problem with reachining the minimum number of volunteers to operate on some days? Some sort of Facebook or Twitter announcement would help in that case, I must admit. Expecting a website update would not be fair - updating social networking sites is far quicker and easier than updating a website.
  21. How do the new IRM Mk2 B/C's look when compared to the Bachmann Mk2A models from a few years ago? Any chance of a sneak photo from @Warbonnet or @BosKonay? As in, if somebody were brave enough to repaint an NIR coach into IR / IE livery, or if IRM were to launch and IR / IE range, would they look well when mixed together in a rake? Looking at you, @murphaph!!!
