Hi All. Thought I'd start a thread dedicated to 1:18 vehicles, as if not, I'll keep hijacking @JasonB's thread. Received a few accessories for the "workshop" last week, cones, wheels etc, so have added them in. This stuff is massive, takes up a lot of space, so it's hard to have it on display without everything being too cluttered. The first photo I took the other day, and have already used it to violate the "Other Side" thread. The last photo is just to show the scale difference between this and what we're accustomed to in the OO Gauge world. The 1982 DAF 3300 SpaceCab is from Road Kings. The 1987 EF3 Honda Civic Si is from Triple 9. They do about six variants of the model, I think. The 1995 EJ1 Honda Civic coupe is from ERTL, have that about twenty years. The 1990 E30 BMW M3 is from Solido. Also available in blue. The 1992 EG9 Honda Civic is from OneModel. Usually go for stupid money on eBay but I won this one a few weeks back for a less-stupid amount. The Honda CBR900RR Fireblade is from Welly. Not a big fan of Welly but you have to have a Honda bike one way or another. The cones are from American Diorama and the wheels and stand are from IXO. If anybody else has any 1:18 stuff to contribute, fire away!

I thought it was a 40% discount? 60% is even better! You won't regret it. I picked one up last time they were on offer. Photos in one of the other threads on this. Very nice detail. Haven't run it yet as I have nowhere to do so, but I sit and stare at it every day.

Who's the handsome one? Is that a 66001 in the background? -
Great to see something running! The blood, sweat and tears were definitely worth it.

Warley, the movie! Those snow shots look pretty cool, and I love the music. Was seriously expecting one of the Avengers to appear. -

Most of them are a load of crap. -

That depends on how many 8113's you're trying to shift because:
-
You know me, anti-SPAM, no need for duplicate threads, go for the original one! Your controller build was awesome, but also beyond me. I'm currently reading through the Power Cab manual, and that in itself is challenging. It seems very logical, so far, and that appeals to me. I'm worried that like you, I'll crave a more analogue feel after a while using the slider, but I want to keep an open mind and not pre-judge.
-
I hate you so much. Maybe I could sacrifice a few of my Mk2D's as a trade for your 8113!

One of the two DC ones is already gone. Perhaps @BosKonay could merge the four threads on this: https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/6036-ncc-jinty https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/8812-dapol-o-gauge-ncc-19-lms-class-3f-jinty https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/8879-o-gauge-uta-jinty

8113 is what I'm praying for. Hatton's don't distinguish between the 071's / 111's. They had one the other day, possibly 078, DCC fitted, for around £382 GBP. Sounds a lot but already DCC fitted, and it's way cheaper than the eBay gougers, so gives me hope.

I actually meant the capitalization of the initial A; A or a? The pronounciation is a dodgy one. I put the emphasis on the "u" but some put the emphasis on the first "a" as in "Accurate"... Big Black Friday deals at both Accurascale and Hatton's this weekend! https://www.accurascale.com/collections/black-friday-deal/ https://www.hattons.co.uk/newsdetail?id=1460 -
A wireless controller would be handy!

Pretty sure you emailed me, or maybe posted here, pics of some insane looking touchscreen thing where you could drag the locos around to allocate them numbers etc. Is that the Z21? The only wierd thing I've noticed on the PowerCab is that there's no dial, seems to be all buttons and a slider.

I wonder if we'll see any IRM or Accurascale madness this weekend... The big question is: Accurascale or accurascale? -
What did I tell you, @JasonB? See how many members viewed your thread last night, just because you had a celebrity post from me? Was it eight in the space of ten minutes? You'll have the regular DAF lovers like @murphaph, @MOGUL and @Rob in over the next few days, too. I should start charging for my influence, but take this one as a freebie.

Looking forward to seeing / hearing a few trains idling and passing each other, here.
