  1. You don't know the half of it. She's one of the most dangerous ones here. Aside from the cats, the fine sand in the air gets everywhere - even with doors - so I have to do my best to keep it out.
  2. A nice, modern bus at that! Still no KC available?
  3. We have clearance, Clarence! Both O Gauge and OO gauge holes seem appropriate for what I'd wanted, at least for now. O Gauge feline is a tight fit but somehow squeezes through. That's all for now, duty calls...
  4. Tex reefer off the TF1 by the Chio roundabout on Tuesday 1st. Another hotspot.
  5. Getting closer! Feet on and wall brackets on...
  6. A Nice Cronos 6,1m x 2,9m / 20' HC (CRTU-0700874) near IKEA in San Miguel back on Tuesday 22nd. Container hotspot there, almost always something interesting. Have a few more since then to add as well. Trailer looks to have an extra metre or so to spare, wierd length for a trailer, no?
  7. Have you looked at adding a servo for remote uncoupling a la McKinley?
  8. What are the limitations of the magnetic Dellner couplings? As in, what don't they work with? I've tried them with an A and a single Container Flat, but with the notorious coupling mechanism on the older Flats, they uncouple while moving slowly over points. @Sean has been testing these pretty thoroughly, so maybe he can list a few incompatible combinations? Also, aside from grabbing both pieces of rolling stock to pull them apart, is there any trick for more subtle uncoupling of the IRM magnetic couplers? Like, tapping them with another magnet or something?
  9. Sure it looks like it was never even opened!
  10. Mad dash to La Laguna for a replacement, back down south by five, measured, marked, scored, drilled, cut and cleaned, ready to pack up again and take home for trial and assembly...
  11. And we have a casualty! Finished the first side off no problems but the second side didn't like not being supported properly while absorbing 100kg of downward force. Oops!
  12. Not a running session, but something that will one day play a part in them. That's enough for today, more IKEA butchering tomorrow.
  13. Only a decade out!
  14. Sooooooooo, any hints on the steam announcement, other than it not being a J15?
  15. Just have to add to this thread again. Have been in touch with IRM a bit lately, poor aul' @Garfield must be sick of me, but the courtesy and proffesionalism is unflappable! I tend to keep odd-ish hours, probably don't sleep enough, anybody who gets close to me says that I have a thyroid problem and I'm overactive, but bejeesus, Patrick takes the biscuit. I'm genuinely starting to suspect that P.A.T.R.I.C.K. is an acronym for some kind of AI supercomputer with a deepfake face edited into a handful of photos to fool us. Powerful Artificial Turbocharged Resident Intelligent Computer Kit, I dunno. Credit where it's due, we are spoiled with this kind of service.
  16. Your work is more like miniature engineering than modelling, @murrayec. Have you trained mice to act as loco crew, too?
  17. Your home-made decal-work is exquisite, @Darius43!
  18. Finally arrived! Heritage railway with some large scale Irish locos for the kids to ride on.
  19. Awesome! Both @ttc0169 and @Patrick Davey have posted Crossley sound decoder videos in their own threads.
  20. Some great info from @Signal Post / @Noel and from @Fowler4f. Can the functions on the IRM Crossley sound decoder be re-mapped, or is each function locked to a specific address? Sorry if this has already been answered and I've missed it. As with @Jonathan_RK, I'd love to know if a decoder can be reset to default without losing the sound file?
  21. CMNL open-top Dublin Tour Bus. I quite like these. Auction finishes in twenty minutes or so. https://www.ebay.es/itm/126025402333 This bus has a UKBUS serial number as it's part of the CMNL Tour Bus range, rather than the usual IEBUS serial number.
