  11. Wrenn ceased production in 1992 and all the dyes and moulds etc were bought by David Boyle of Dapol fame There were several attempts to produce locos from the original supply of parts but it never came to fruition They did release some wagons in Wrenn box's and later released wagons with Wrenn bodies but on Dapol chassis's Eventually in 2001 the Wrenn name and all remaining parts were bought by a small group of Wrenn enthusiasts They released some modern Limited Edition wagons and also sold off a lot of the spare parts Over the last few years they have slowly reduced production of their various wares and also closed down their Collectors Club and have recently announced the closure of the firm from October next Go ndéana Dia trocaire orthu
  12. Not clockwork minister, can be run as 2 or 3 rail DC Lima produced some "Irish" O gauge coaches that would look good behind her
  13. Bring your saving box out to Raheny, I will give you all the Wrenn wagons your little heart could desire I will even do one for one Stg/Euro just for you Paul!!!!!!
  14. Speaking of Bray John I managed to pick up a few bits myself Hornby Mk 2A's, absolutely mint, bought in 1977! Possibly the ugliest RTR coach around, and the rarest, Also a couple of Sealink coaches, made in 1987 only, and a very short run produced These have a few miles on the clock So I reckon its always worth going to any show thats available, you never know what will turn up.
  15. I was too busy trying to flog you the steam heat van man!!!
  16. Bray tomorrow, people!
  17. Event has been put off till next weekend I dont think we will be able to attend as we are committed to the Carrickfergus show
  18. If anyone is anywhere near Mohill this weekend the MRSI are displaying a small layout at Mohill as part of their Summer festival Mohill was on the Narrow Gauge Cavan & Leitrim line and they are attempting to reopen some of the old line as a cycle path and walkway Sat & Sun in the village Be sure to drop by and say hello
  19. All done by hand
  20. Sell anything to make a buck, man! Speaking of Banana box's Pat I used to store my stuff in large plastic box's but I found that the plastic was wearing away at the boxes contained in them and after a while they became quite worn looking so now I store them in Banana boxes as they seem not to damage the items stored in them And they are a lot cheaper!
  21. Once upon a time John, Now its kinda like this...
  22. Finally a 303203W Sundries wagon, I knew I had another one somewhere Anyone recognise the shop? The Green CIE Coach is priced at £2.16 & the Sundries wagon @ £3.10 so I reckon the coach is early 70's while whe wagon is early to mid 80's
  23. As some of you might be aware Granny Bracken retired recently and has made it her quest to have 98 the cleanest and tidiest house in Raheny. To this end she has had me pulling and dragging stuff from all over the house to be rehoused in either the garage of loft Well low and behold if she didnt uncover some long lost treasures that were completely forgotten about, God bless her curly hair! First one is a HO 4F but with factory fitted OO couplings, this loco was in the Lima CIE Steam Freight Set 10 3723A, page 35 of this thread Next are the Mk 1 CIE Coaches, usually found in a 305346W Box, ( Page 33 of this thread) silver in colour but here in a 5346W Red box Bought in the Real Capitol!!!
  24. I will be there with Chris Dyer
