  1. As this is not a blog and may not be visable to people who can help with your query I have moved the topic to this address http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/3912-Belfast-Model-Shop-DCC-Sound-Issue?p=60758#post60758 Comments on here will be closed and replies will be on the link posted above. Thank you.
  2. I have reposted this topic for user 'Hutchiebus' instead of using the blog as it's not a blog and it may get more help here. Please post replies on this thread. Thank you.
  3. No problem Noel, just makes it easier to find things when people are researching in the future.
  4. Let's keep these bits on eBay on the eBay thread. Thanks.
  5. This topic has been moved to a more relevant area of the forum as it hasn't got anything to do with Irish outline modelling. Thank you.

  7. At least it's a rigid structure....
  8. I guess try the place you bought it from first. But no harm in sending an email to explain the situation.
  9. Might be worth contacting paddy Murphy via his website. He carries spare parts.
  10. Depends on which loco it is, what kind of chip is in it, condition, all detail parts included, is it boxed etc. Maybe list what you have and someone could give you a guide price or look at what similar fetch on EBay.
  11. Still looks unfinished to me. Out and about on the liner today heading to Mayo. Note new lights... 8209, Portarlington, 02-12-2014 by MidlandDeltic, on Flickr 8209, Portarlington, 02-12-2014 by MidlandDeltic, on Flickr 8209, Portarlington, 02-12-2014 by MidlandDeltic, on Flickr
  12. Lovely job it has to be said. Thanks for sharing Noel.
  13. I just throw mine on a concrete floor and then glue it back together afterwards. Isnt that what everyone does!?
  14. I think this is a great idea, we do have some good experts as members who I'm sure would be happy to share their knowledge.
  15. If you join their page you will be able to see the discussion. That's also if they allow you to join of course.
  16. Great to have her there Shem, though to hear her stretch her legs on the Dublin - Cork line again would be something else. Maybe one day in the distant future! Mind you if I had my way I'd be digging Maedb out of Cultra too!
  17. Have to agree, I miss them off the mainline dearly.
  18. When you want information sometimes you have to be prepared to dig a little.
  19. It would be nailed on soundwise for an EMD 645 non turbo motor, I have one in a switcher and it sounds fabulous. However as you state the horn would be off and I always thought that A's sounded slightly different to other 645 non turbos due to the different silencing (or lack of!) arrangements and a different generator than normal EMD locos.
  20. They also cannot be reprogrammed with another engine sound unlike ESU/Zimo.
  21. Good to see you Eoin and had a grand auld chat. It's a great model to see in the plastic, cant wait to see the finished article!
  22. Glasgow is a great town for going out on the rip too. If anyone was also interested in such things...
  23. Sticky fingers! Shape wise I still reckon it's better than silver fox; well one that isn't sticky!
  24. That's enough Ed, let's leave it there. We may revisit this topic in the coming weeks regarding a vote. If people want to take this data on further you can contact mods via PM.
  25. It's something we may consider doing in the coming weeks. However, people did post their preferences in this thread it's apparent what would be popular choices for models if someone was to bite the bullet and take things further.
