  1. Ah yes, well spotted! The tanker has the same chassis as the insulated container van, so if that fits in that slot then so would the tanker!
  2. Nice one Dave. The picture of the tanker on the box is the Hornby TTA tanker which would be longer than the container wagon and I reckon it wouldn't fit into that space. Maybe a change at the factory at the last minute or there is a different variation of the set out there? Hornby did have variations of wagons in the set compared to box art on their British sets...
  3. Apologies Tony, I thought he did them before. Am I right in thinking kits were available for them previously manufactured by somebody?
  4. And outspan went on to win an oscar
  5. I'm sorry, but I bet I'd have come up with something a lot better than this for a lot less money! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LC8dIM6wiQ#t=56 I actually thought it was a piss take!
  6. Nope.
  7. Mr. Poots has done kits of the D's (standard and Van Hool I believe) but I think they're long sold out. It would be worth giving him a shout or looking on EBay.
  8. Stick a nice layout in it too...
  9. Delayed more than metro north. Masts are out, no sign of wires last I checked.
  10. he first thing I did after I got home from Warley a few years ago was shower myself twice after coming into contact with some swamp creatures. The bang off them was unbelievable.
  11. Must be an echo in here....
  12. The 111s were light blue with the red ends. 208 and 209 were delivered in blue and painted enterprise a couple of years later.
  13. You need a full length one as 1) it's the correct scale length and 2) the parts of the kit will only fit a full length one. Lima and Jouef also make full length Mark IIIs that can be used. I have put this out on a topic all on its own as it was starting to take over another topic.
  14. Gresley beat? Would love to see that layout in the flesh.
  15. MIR no longer produce kits. There are hundreds of Mark IIIs on eBay. Literally.
  16. Keep splitting those hairs Ed! There was some F88s owned by CIE as I have seen pics of them, but you're right. The pic is too blurry to tell if this was CIE owned. Something a bit different on the CIE theme anyway.
  17. I'm pretty sure this Volvo was taken in the 70s
  18. Excellent work as always George. Nice to see step-by-step results on here to as they really help the rest of us get our heads round things!
  19. Absolutely brilliant pictures! The tractor unit is a Bedford TM which I always thought were a bit cool, especially with a Detroit engine under the cab!
  20. I believe the poster is one of the mods here...
  21. Looking good Dave and Popeye, excellent work!
  22. Electrify? 120mph? I'll believe it when I see it.
  23. Said transfer still sitting there at 9:30 tonight. Sorry to get your hopes up!
  24. You wont be saying that after you travel on them!
