  1. Yes I surely will and I will have a39 in action with sound so if any one is in Wexford on Sunday 30th,come along to the Caimvintage day.Caim is a small village outside Enniscorthy near Killane and Rathnure and is near the main road to Kilkenny. All proceeds go to local hospice home care.
  2. This is a first look at my display layout that I have built for a local vintage day on Sunday 30th September.Still a lot of work to do and some scenery wont be finished in time. The layout is built into six sections with the main one built by Gerry Byrne for his Ballybeg layout which was unused and kindly given to me to build onto for the vintage day.The plan is to use the two front units for the attic layout when I get back to building it in a few weeks. I have used 4 seep point motors controlled by gaugemaster acc decoder and I have one spare from the right unit if I need to control lights etc in the future.
  3. Very impressive selection of points there, looks great. How does your diamond crossing work as regards wheels etc, any derailment problems?.
  4. Lovely Hurling there Des.
  5. Fantastic Bredan, fair play to you.
  6. Yes Fran the blue line sd9 is a great runner and I had it for my MIR 071 body which got put on the long finger due to a crap paint job.I am thinking of a class 20 sound chip for the B101 loco.
  7. I do know that the IRRS do have a good few back issues of the journals so you could try giving them a shout at their premises at the back of Heuston Station. Also have a look at their website for more info.
  8. I had a look through my stack of journals and found the one containing the Cahir accident. Its journal no 97 June 1985. Some good photos, and diagram of Cahir Station showing the relavent signaling etc,and a great account of what happened. This is the journal cover-
  9. Dont forget it could be me with Telly Savalas either.LOL
  10. I do remember a IRRS journal has a detailed account of the crash and a few photos.I dont know what number the journal is but if I get a chance Ill have a trawl through the back issues I have.If not contact the IRRS at Heuston Station for info.
  11. The loksound decoders of the 141/181 are no longer available as far as I know. The Belfast model shop do sell them on a different chip.
  12. Shockingly fantastic.
  13. I fear Galway could be in for a backlash today, however if Galway turn up to Kikennys level of intensity anything can happen.
  14. Welcome to the site Horsetan, and I hope you keep us updated on your build. It looks just the ticket for the man shed on dark Winters nights.
  15. .Thats Brilliant Des-I cant wait to get mine.I have a blueline sd9 chassis spare which runs very well. The photo of the loco body looks impressive, and brass detail top notch.
  16. Very tasty Dave, and I love the livery.
  17. Why is 146 so wanted at the moment Dave?,is it because its the only 141 that can be viewed in motion in downpatrick?. I had hoped to get 146 myself as it was the last loco to travel on the Ballinacourty branch in 1990,however I might get one of my IR locos renumbered in the future.
  18. I hope you will be back to full health soon Rich, and keep the head up.
  19. Jesus that is stunning, the helix looks great and your work is showing how much you have put into it.
  20. She looks nice in the correct shade of blue, well done bud.

    Old news

Old and slow trains replaced-the Rosslare line has shown no improvement in journey time dispite New stock, track, signalling, and in fact the journey time in 1985 from Wexford to Enniscorthy was faster with Park Royals and jointed track!.If I was going to be in a accident at the moment on IE I would not like to be in a railcar by the sounds of it.
  25. Mike Oldfield -Two sides-The best of Mike Oldfield.Top notch stuff and worth having in the collection.
