Correct Dave-the locomotive had been virtually rebuilt and it was being trialled on the liner trains for mileage accumulations, A few days after I took the photo it entered the paint shop at Inchicore for repainting into the Belmond blue livery, It is scheduled to be repainted this year I’m told…….

Thanks Jason-plans are in place to have a short three piece push pull like the Limerick-Limerick jctn shuttle hauled/pushed by 124 and 134 in 2024.

A repeat of operations from last weekend is currently in progress on Tara junction… The rare sight of 160+181 hauling a Mk3 push pull set working a Sligo-Dublin Connolly service-the control car being replaced by a modified Mk3 EGV, 127+133 work a Galway-Dublin Heuston Cravens set 129 hauling a Mk3 push pull set with control car 6101 forms the Dublin Heuston-Ballina relief service-another rare sight which was observed on the Ballina branch 30 years ago 088 working a Dublin Heuston-Westport Mk3 set 8113 working a 10 piece Mk2 a/b set forming a Tralee-Dublin Heuston set, 048 working the Waterford-Dublin Heuston departs from the platform at Tara junction. 080 works a Limerick-North wall BELL liner. — Happy new year to all followers

Thanks DJ, The quality of Shapeways products wasn’t great in the early days…that Dutch GSV is 12 years old at this stage…I haven’t used any of their products since so I can’t comment further.

Lakeview freight yard is busy tonight, Two 20’ Freight liner containers have been loaded onto 42’ bogie flat 30190 and will shortly depart behind locomotive 048 bound for Belfast Adelaide yard.

The riverside permanent way yard has some variety in trucks on show.

Managed to get the interior lights of the MPD working again on Ashburton grove along with some others… Here we see a Class 43 power car,a ScotRail DBSO and 40012 receive attention.

I finished fitting the second set of Cravens with interior lights-also included were the BR steam heating vans,3173,3180,3189 and Dutch van 3164, needless to say I’m delighted with the results….

Two of @Arran lovely Freightliner 20’ containers arrived into the Lakeview freight yard this evening and pose alongside their 40’ counterparts….after being unloaded they are now in storage prior to loading out on the Waterford bound BELL liner on Monday morning.

A late night permanent way possession at Tara junction allows the use of 124+134 on the two axle hopper train-which is about to commence discharging along platform 4.
