  1. Cheers Jhb…it’s thirsty work operating a model railway
  2. Thanks to @Brian Collins Enterprisesfor supplying the power washer and figure.
  3. The freight yard looks great Rob
  4. With all the 001 class locomotives taking up some passenger and freight links on Tara junction, it was time for the other locomotives on the layout to receive some attention. Here we see a CME staff member power washing locomotive 076 at the MPD earlier.
  5. Class 40-40 012 has charge of the inspection saloon as it exits the siding, 2x20s pass hauling a tanker train as the class 56 passes through on a laden MGR train.
  6. With my A class fleet complete…the final one to arrive was A39R….this was brought directly to Lakeview freight yard by Donnell & Ellis transport company for unloading.
  7. Welcome aboard Rush & Lusk,it was lovely to meet you in Wexford.
  8. A late 1950s photo of special edition locomotive A1 on Tara junction, it will be fitted with a Crossley engined sound chip whenever they become available.
  9. The special edition A1 was a must to add to my collection of A class locomotives, Although not in service until a Crossley engine sound chip is available,it still looks great on Tara junction.
  10. 007 is the Lakeview freight yard pilot locomotive.
  11. Currently there are 60 locomotives on the layout with 25 in storage, I tend to rotate the active locomotives to work various trains and after servicing allocate the others to a light engine movement around the layout just to keep them active.
  12. The Friday night operating session was exclusively operated by 001 class locomotives for the first time, 054 working the Cravens set forming the 15:10 Galway-Dublin Heuston 018 working the Mk2d set forming the 17:15 FO Dublin Heuston-Waterford. 048 working the 15:20 Marino point-Shelton empty ammonia. 027 working the Shelton abbey-Sligo laden fertiliser.
  13. Its a great time to be an Irish railway modeller, and certainly now as the A class has made it to our layouts, Many thanks to Fran,Patrick,Stephen,Richie and others for all of the fantastic IRM products to date and making our dreams into reality, Long may it last....the very best of luck to you all for whatever new products you have in the pipeline, I'm off upstairs to allocate 8 out of the 10 A class locomotives to Fridays nights freight and passenger roster.......
  14. As I was directly involved with this episode-there was no anti social behaviour on this occasion, I will not go into any more details on a public forum. Thank you.
  15. Wow great shot-it is 086 and Paddy Cassidy from Westport is driving, The footbridge was renewed in 1986 so your not far off the mark 1988/89 would be right Thanks for sharing MD220
  16. Looking well Bernard
  17. 056s complete with weathered bogies
  18. Some weathering of the bogies, buffers and CAWS protecting grid-(on locomotive 054) using powders has really brought out the exquisite detail on them-and highlights the rotating axles to great effect.
  19. The Fridays only passenger trains were a feature of the scene during the late 1980s and early 1990s, Here we see 036 work the FO Dublin Heuston-Tralee with 6 Mk2d stock as 054 works the Dublin Heuston-Ballina FO service which is composed of 8 Cravens and BR GSV.
