Busy time at the Goods Shed with lots going on.
With the current warm spell the vegetation at Clonmel has sprouted.
Cement Trains running through.
JCB coming off the Low-loader.
A short video clip showing the action.
Well done Nelson, some excellent work with the potential to hit an even higher level. Watched your work on RM Web and for someone so young to achieve such a good standard bodes well for the future.
Perhaps this thread may sit better in the Workbench section as I'm sure there is more to come.
Thanks for your comments and advice George. However the Station is still a work in progress.
Glenderg is currently building the main Station building and I will use it (as shown in the photo below) together with the clearance of my highest Loco as the level for the footbridge.
A piece of useless trivial that I learned from my visit to Clonmel was that the steps of this footbridge used to faced the other way.
Thanks JCH for the above Epistle, very informative.
In your Special Vehicles paragraph you mention Cement bubbles but omit the curtain sided Cement Wagon. I know the body was painted blue but what colour was the underframe? I have looked for detailed photographs of these wagons without success.
I never heard of Kibri bridges before, they really look well. With all these bridges and the massive viaduct you are planning it's going to be some layout. Looking forward to seeing its progress.
Great pictures, I have seen them before but lost the link. Now with basic photographic programmes like Picasa you can lighten the image to see even more detail.
What size (width) should the white line on the edge of a platform be, I've painted one and feel it's too wide.
They can't agree either!
Any answers please?
