  1. It's a bad lookout when you have to start thinking about legal action regarding what should be just a relaxing, enjoyable hobby. Hope it all works out for you @jhb171achill. Hope I never end up in that pickle.
  2. Tell it like it is. He is a shyster. Wouldn't fancy ordering a fitted kitchen from his new "company". In fairness , paying total amount up front is just asking for trouble. I made and fitted a kitchen for a lady who had done just that- paid up front, and the guy who was doing it was never seen again. She then wanted to pay me up front as well. Some people never learn. I had to persuade her to only pay me a deposit until kitchen was in and she was happy with it. Hmmm..........I'm a cabinet maker/joiner......... Maybe I should start a baseboard business. Maybe not though.
  3. They couldn't be married, Alan. They would never look at each other like that if they were
  4. Or use a heavier piece of wood for the lever so it never warps or changes shape. Neat piece of work
  5. Hi @Darius43. I use the same method for glazing, but use perspex with "tape" already covering the surface. Cut and paint then. Have to hand it to you though, I am nowhere as precise as you. Need a sharper knife methinks (and a lot more patience). Yours look great.
  6. Excellent David as per usual. And "Clark and Kent" newsagents? Genius
  7. I can't view that download, but I am sure it's great. Sigh.... Just ordinary uploaded videos for me
  8. Can't view them, but frustratingly, I can hear them
  9. FOC- Free of charge? Maybe..........
  10. Cheers, Dave @DJ Dangerous
  11. Kitchen cabinet doors as bench backs- that's a new one on me. Couldn't be up to that Kerry crowd
  12. Thanks Denis, Patrick
  13. Yes, I can finally see a pic now. Couldn't see any of the downloadable ones above. Probably the windows I'm running (8) is the problem, more than anything on Patrick's @patrick side.
  14. A little more progress......... And a dozen of these fellows......
  15. Love the bridge @patrick. That water looks almost real
  16. Well holy God! Look who's back. Great to see an update @Metrovik. You have been busy. Buildings look great. Will the hotel be getting a roof? Why don't you mix up the colours of the buildings.....
  17. Totally agree. Don't think MM website has been updated in about 27 years or something. You have to find out about new announcements in other ways. Sheesh......... First I heard of 141 rerun was on here.
  18. Those replies are really enlightening lads. Thanks
  19. Excellent. Wonder why the working timetables are stamped confidential in the second pic?
  20. Top class as usual Noel. The running around sequence is excellent. Great to watch, especially with that sound. Love these updates
  21. Thanks for that John- excellent footage. Amazing to see the one guy attempting to stop the rolling wagon alone, and then the three lads pushing the wagon along. Health and safety my eye. And then the boyos loading the cattle. The preferred method seemed to be running around like a lunatic while waving your arms frantically. Then, once cattle are on board apply a swift kick to the cows arse and ram the gate closed. At the end I think them lads were headed for the local. Great stuff
  22. Received a nice email from An Post. For delivery of the tractor and trailer valued at 28.63 euro, they would like 6.57 vat and 4.95 handling charge before they deliver. Spare me........
  23. Thanks Dave@DJ Dangerous, Jonathan@jhb171achill and Alan @Tullygrainey for your replies. Feel a bit like Goldilocks here but Dave, your trailer was too large for what I have in mind, as Jonathan pointed out, and Alan, your suggestion was a little too old era for the look I want. (Although those truck kits are beautiful) I have found a red massey tractor (manufactured mid 60's to mid 70's) and a gray livestock trailer (both Oxford). I think they will suit my purpose just about fine. Again thanks for taking the time to help.
  24. Sorry, not Corgi but Oxford die cast. My mistake. Atkinson Cattle truck, two company names. 76ATKL004 or 76ATKL005.
  25. Lads, does anybody know where I might get a cattle truck for the dock/ yard? Corgi do one (Atkinson) but it is of an older era. I am looking for something more 70's or 80's. Any help would be great, thanks
