Totally agree. Don't think MM website has been updated in about 27 years or something. You have to find out about new announcements in other ways. Sheesh......... First I heard of 141 rerun was on here.

Thanks for that John- excellent footage. Amazing to see the one guy attempting to stop the rolling wagon alone, and then the three lads pushing the wagon along. Health and safety my eye. And then the boyos loading the cattle. The preferred method seemed to be running around like a lunatic while waving your arms frantically. Then, once cattle are on board apply a swift kick to the cows arse and ram the gate closed. At the end I think them lads were headed for the local. Great stuff

Received a nice email from An Post. For delivery of the tractor and trailer valued at 28.63 euro, they would like 6.57 vat and 4.95 handling charge before they deliver. Spare me........

Thanks Dave@DJ Dangerous, Jonathan@jhb171achill and Alan @Tullygrainey for your replies. Feel a bit like Goldilocks here but Dave, your trailer was too large for what I have in mind, as Jonathan pointed out, and Alan, your suggestion was a little too old era for the look I want. (Although those truck kits are beautiful) I have found a red massey tractor (manufactured mid 60's to mid 70's) and a gray livestock trailer (both Oxford). I think they will suit my purpose just about fine. Again thanks for taking the time to help.

Lads, does anybody know where I might get a cattle truck for the dock/ yard? Corgi do one (Atkinson) but it is of an older era. I am looking for something more 70's or 80's. Any help would be great, thanks

A little more progress on the pens for the cattle dock Posts were made from 3mm x 3mm mahogany, and drilled out individually (some dose). Railings or bars were made from copper wire stripped from electric cable. Some weathering next and then gates. Getting there slowly...........

Dolores' name wasn't actually leaked. Her friends and her were in the pub when the Euromillions numbers came on , and her friend took her (Dolores) ticket to the television to check. As soon as the numbers came out, everybody in the pub knew about it amid whoops of delight. She never had a chance of keeping it quiet. Within an hour, half of Limerick knew about it. -
For what it's worth, I use 3mm MDF as underlay. It gives a nice shoulder effect (nice to me anyway) . I put double sided tape on this instead of using PVA. Having used PVA for ballast previously I found running trains way too noisy. Tape is much quieter. Only drawback is that you have to apply ballast immediately after sticking down track. I know this is not a popular choice but it works for me.

Bit more done to the cattle dock. Stone added and a back wall. And of course a few cow pats. Small bit of weathering too. Lighting is probably too bright in these pics, now that I see them properly. The sun was actually shining in the window behind me- who would have thought. Oh well, you get the idea.. Started on the railing work by making a couple dozen of these lads

What locos are in Moyasta at present.? Passed that way couple weeks ago and could see a 121 and 141 I think, but I believe there are two others? Was driving at the time and my better half didn't appreciate me having my eyes on the trains instead of the road so I couldn't get a great look .

@josh_, You could try printing off brick patterns from the internet. Worked ok for me in the early stages of my layout. Before I decided to replace brick with stone.. Will save you a few quid. Up to you of course
