  1. Model Rail subscribers used to always get their mags before New Years Eve Fran. The Mods on Rmweb were always ready to pounce. I have to agree that all BR Diesel modellers are crying out for MK11D,E,F, coaches. Now that the BP is out of the way maybe Bachmann will decide to announce something. I wonder will they ever consider MK11B,C coaches to compliment the MK11A's. The 59 has to be the next diesel that Bachmann produce. They are one of my favorite UK diesel locos. Especially the earlier variants with the different light clusters. Were the the first foray into GM built locos in the UK. Hornby should consider a new tooling for the MK111's to compliment the 43's as I can't see them stopping production of the old Airfix Dapol MK11D's. To be fair they were a great model for their era. Although the tumbledome always looked a bit suspect. I would have loved to have seen the MM MK11's produced as a one piece body and roof model as it might have been better than the current setup where some of the models suffer bowing when they are being released from the tooling. Rich,
  2. Good work Stephen I didn't cop it in the first video. The kids were Killing each other. I was acting as peace keeper. I think I'll apply for a job in the UN. Rich,
  3. The post van pic looks like the cover of a James Herbert book Eamonn. I love the shot of the baby. Rich,
  4. Did you buy it brand new or second hand. Were the rest of the accessories provided. It seems strange that one could escape QC without detection. Rich,
  5. With a view like that Vincent don't move out. Rich,
  6. No official embargo this year Fran. They seriously need to get back to what they do best. It will be interesting to see if any new D&E models are to be announced. Rich,
  7. I love the video Stephen. The light but subtle weathering on 071 looks spot on, especially around the fuel tank. The reversing movement through the points shows how well the track is layed. The lights in the Craven look cool and I love the Dutch Van. Last but not least the sound is spot on. Rich,

    Family bereavement .

Anthony I offer my deepest sympathy and prayers to you and your family. May your Dad rest in peace. God bless you all. Rich,
  9. Great work Richie it is a credit to you. Your approach to building is very inspiring. Rich,
  10. To everyone on the group and each of your loved ones, I wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas and the very best of luck and good health for the New Year. Each and everyone of you have contributed greatly to the group and have made it a great place to share our love of the hobby. Long may it continue. Rich,
  11. Spot on Pat. The coaches were coverted from BCK and BSK coaches in the BR MK1 fleet. The coaches were, 3172 former BR BCK 21138 3173 former BR BCK 21146 3174 former BR BSK 21143 3175 former BR BSK 21196 3177 former BR BSK 34227 3178 former BR BSK 34590 was also air brake through piped 3179 former BR BSK 34677 was also air brake through piped 3180 former BR BSK 34378 was also air brake through piped 3183 former BR BSK 34687 was also air brake through piped 3184 former BR BSK 34566 3185 former BR BSK 34093 3186 former BR BSK 34757 was also air brake through piped 3187 former BR BSK 34012 was also air brake through piped 3188 former BR BSK 34701 was also air brake through piped 3189 former BR BSK 34264 was also air brake through piped There were many external differences between the fleet such as window arrangements and different sized roof hatches. It's worth having a good look at photos if you are going to model a particular coach. Some ran with tail boards and some didn't, again check photos. They all ran on BR B5 bogies. Rich,
  12. High praise coming from you Richie. I was never really sold on the A Class myself but that model and the cement terminal are really top work. Rich,
  13. I'll second that. The golden brown color is spot on also. Des's detailing parts take it to a different level. There's no doubt that the Silver Fox A Class can be turned from a sows ear into a purse. That and one of Georgeconnas A Class locos are as good as it gets. Scahalane go to the top of the class, superb stuff. Rich,
  14. Sweet Wanderer, I love the night time lights above the bogies on 229. It would make a nice project for the model of 229. Rich,
  15. Rob if you get a chance to see any footage of the wagons being loaded in Wellington Bridge it will explain a lot. I remember seeing rakes parked in Waterford East awaiting signals and being covered in dust from nearby building work many many years ago. They used to get covered in dust and debri from the work at Mount Misery and the new road while all the work was going on. Each one has a weathered look all of it's own. I think the best thing to do is keep the color uniform within the rake. They were parked out in the elements when The beet season was finished so they would have seen all sorts of weather. I remember having a close look at a rake in Waterford West and they were parked next to the cement loading facility. Some checking revealed light cement dust on the wagons. Rich,
  16. Cool Gerhard, thanks for that. Rich,
  17. Beautiful David. I love the bar car. The day and night time photos are very atmospheric. I sincerely wish you and Mark all the luck in the world. Rich,
  18. It's looking like what it is supposed to be Stephen, a Railway. Dapol catenary should do the job nicely and flow with the track. You don't shirk from the challenges that you set for yourself, and I have on occasion. Truly inspirational. Rich,
  19. John those are amazing models. The hard work and the desire to get them right has paid off. I think the brass kit is definitely the right choice. In the eight months that the group has been open we have have seen some truly remarkable models being produced from scratch. Whether they are kit's, rtr, or scratch builds. This will only produce positive results for the hobby and the group. It will also bring new members when they see just how many amazing modellers we have in every field. I can't wait to see more from your stable. 2013 is going to be a cracking year, and your models will play a huge part in that. Rich,
  20. I think I'd hold it in Gareth. It looks like a freezer. Although it ain't as bad as the smell in the 22000's Rich,
  21. It's beautiful Jim, Rich,
  22. Thanks for sorting that Pat. 1997 and it is now consigned to history. It goes to show that you don't need a huge space (it's nice mind you if you have it) to build a model railway. Baby, GSV, Craven, not to hard on the pocket and prototypical. Rich,
  23. Pat that is simply brilliant. The catenary, the road vehicles. The vehicles stopping at the traffic light's. Freight, passenger trains, and beautiful scenery. The architecture is amazing. Thanks for that I've really enjoyed it. Rich,
  24. Tell me more John. Ian Paice and Roger Glover, that would have wrestled me to the ground. If Richie Blackmore had been on guitar he would have probably peeled the hair off your skull. Made in Japan is one of my favorite live albums, highway star is a show stealer and Gillan's vocals on child in time are shuddering. I have a live version of bought and sold by Rory Gallagher and it shakes the walls. Rich,
  25. I'd forgotten about that Seamus. She looks stunning. Rich,
