  1. Some observations on Belfast Grand Central station, and a few questions: 1. Wow 2. The furthest left platforms are very long....presumably these are the future Enterprise platforms. 3. There is a huge blank wall to the right of the platforms - wonder will this be opened up at all as it looks a bit bland to me and potentially a bit overpowering as I think it might block out the sun.... 4. Do the platforms actually have enough capacity to accommodate future re-openings.... the only truly realistic one anyway is Armagh I think, but would Armagh trains run all the way to Belfast or instead feed into trains at Portadown? 5. Looks like it will have a very spacious concourse 6. Wonder why the platform canopies appear to continue under the overall roof of the main building? But vvvvvvery impressive overall - looking forward to arriving there by train!
  2. 2025 I think although I heard late 2024 mentioned recently..... nothing more precise yet unless someone here knows?
  3. Mmmmmmmm blue & maroon....... you know you want to IRM..........
  4. Very interesting and innovative project!!! Am a big fan of rewriting history Superb models - watching with great interest!
  5. Thanks GL - am a bit worried though, getting excited about diesel railway locomotives was one thing, but buses…….
  6. The buses have moved in to the new bus staging area outside Clogherhead station, leaving their tell tale signs on the ground….. in GNR days a fleet of buses would shuttle arriving holidaymakers to and from the beach, a service which was reduced later on after a walkway was opened linking the station directly to the beach. CIE continued to provide the basic shuttle service after their 1958 takeover of the GNR.
  7. Maybe the inflated URL emphasises the inflated price.......
  8. Really......for an oul diesel......? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395221871562?itmmeta=01HRAF22E4C4GVW0HYNXG0GCVX&hash=item5c050f2bca:g:opgAAOSwzKdl2QgM&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8G6usv6oeMt8DS%2B53igYHF9LB0ZwjvjfGFpA1G1IJWJ2RldRMhCXV5qT%2FwTPSrnv2%2FsMLTM4goS%2BBvvW5Y3J7Jx%2BxphQWJWO4Cr2gdDft4OYqEJxy0r1UgNbGlXLM3f0DFfRpi%2B6%2F8gj%2F9RzpxkTqX9FlhBBIrQmakyZET3iHnldkPQo4QN9xL8UBSDy0w880kZ%2FFbXmdjNm9YX%2Bxn4OvEttFmAaKxKd0M96E9Fa97w%2FHel9BEF9UZ0%2BiqKCYg2ZZ1T%2F9VvsW0LTPvuE%2F9JHcZ%2FF1IAAW3Cd%2Fno%2Bslu%2FcaZMre%2FA49OWRz3UUuPd2N4Tww%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR6KniM_CYw
  9. New arrival at the bus station at the railway station:
  10. Magical sequence - a road now runs through the site but the classic WH Mills station building is beautifully preserved as a private house.
  11. Yip - an article on Clogherhead has been submitted!
  12. I definitely have an addiction for creating small buildings….. The regular bus drivers at Clogherhead started protesting that they had nowhere to sit in comfort whilst awaiting the arrival of passengers, other than in the actual buses. So the kindly management of the GNR generously provided a small shelter for them, and of course they had to put their familiar architectural stamp on it…..
  13. Incredible to think how small this is!!! Looking super!!
  14. What an unusual creature!!!
  15. Thank you - they are from Sunrise Models, in Scotland!
  16. Super - and nice view of the goods shed too.
  17. I have done a bit of remodelling today of the last unfinished corner of the layout: an intended bus turning circle in the forecourt looked a bit too tight to be even remotely realistic, so I have changed it into a simple parking area with a suggested turning circle now located through a new gateway to the right: Still a bit tight overall but the effect is generally acceptable I think. A lot of DAS clay was used so once this dries fully I will paint the road surface grey.
