  10. Love the station building, can we see more? Looks like classic deepest darkest Kerry corrugated iron!
  11. Mighty stuff Kevin! Am enjoying the updates.
  12. One of the sounds of my early enthusiast years, and totally spot-on!!!!
  13. Not quite bricked up, some of the windows still look as they should. It’s a classic example of a WH Mills wooden GNR building.
  14. Enjoyed a short running session at Clogherhead this afternoon. Black & tanning I was
  15. Yes thankfully I have covered it extensively in the past at least
  16. Lovely!!! Very personal.
  17. Yesterday I enjoyed a day exploring the remains of the Scarva to Castlewellan GNR(I) line, in the company of Alan @Tullygrainey - thanks Alan! Locations visited: Scarva, including the impressive remains of the nearby Banbridge line bridge, which crosses the River Cusher Drumhorc crossing - the original crossing keeper’s cottage remains and has been recently renovated Lawrencetown - the bridge and part of the platform remain, along with the unusual stationmaster’s house, which is currently being renovated Lenaderg - the stationmaster’s house remains and we were also told the platform survives in the undergrowth nearby, the owner is a descendant of the last stationmaster, and he was very interesting to talk to Banbridge - the only substantial remnant is the former 2-road engine shed, although a nearby house on the road above the station site looks very much like it was the stationmaster’s house Corbet - erased, although the bridge survives, along with a commemorative plaque Ballyroney - a wonderful survivor, and currently being impressively renovated Ballyward - we were politely informed that exploration is no longer possible, so we respected this and moved on Castlewellan - nothing remains of the station, although the nearby bridge abutments remain along with the classic GNR(I) stationmaster’s house An excellent day out, despite the weather ️
  18. So much of interest in this one - shots of the disused BCDR Tullymurry station and one of the Derry-Strabane NG stations (Cullion I think) as well as a nice sequence at Trew & Moy with a young soldier presumably coming home on leave. Pure gold!
  19. Lovely scenes!!!
  20. Lovely!
  21. @DJ Dangerous yip it was me - then JB reminded me that they were actually much smaller in real life so I'm feeling better about them now. They are gorgeous models, and fantastic runners, as long as you make sure the middle axle is actually on the rails (speaking from experience!)
