  1. The Station
  2. If Glenderg could knock up an oul canopy for the station building, she'd be spectacular Lovely work lads - it and the pub are brilliant additions to the ever growing Irish scene!
  3. For the sake of equality Stockists include Marks Models http://www.marksmodels.com/?pid=18595 And Model Shop Belfast http://modelshopbelfast.com/index.php/railways/oo-gauge/bachmann-44-063a-carlow-station.html

  5. I was just drooling over it myself ! Didn't appreciate how interesting the rails were in the early 90's
  6. Just gorgeous and a bargain too!!
  7. beautiful! That's as good a brand new!!
  8. You can sometimes find lima motors on ebay for a few quid too...
  9. Looking stunning!!! The pace of work is mind boggling (and guilt inspiring )
  10. The videos look impressive, but ripping up vast sections of laid mainline isnt an option for most people
  11. There's an old thread here about it, now gone to the big layout in the sky http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/232-Ye-Olde-Kids-Layout
  12. Now that looks just gorgeous!! Lovely bright room - stunning benchwork and oooodles of potential!
  13. Interesting alternative to adding weight to the loco!
  14. I've a whitemetal 121, not motorised so she can 'double' with the 141s... Still, you have to make sure she's well tucked behind so you can't see the comparison
  15. I seem to recall Paddy Murphy having a hand in it.. Great 'fun' sets - prototype be damned
  16. Just brilliant What a treat!
  17. We're spoiled with Paddy's work, but with a little attention the old limas scrub up well ! Here's 217 on the old layout.. She'll still have a place on Amiens, tho probably it will be on a 'sound barrier' line than in active service
  18. The nem coupler is a specific design - you need to squeeze the end of the coupler that's sticking out behind the nem socket, the entire coupler then should slide out with next to no force required. You can see from this image, how the coupler fits into the socket, then the two 'prongs' open out to hold it in place. Squeezing the prongs together should release the coupler.
  19. Very nice - did you drill the nem pocket and simply screw in the kadee 20?
  20. To help with lock, you can remove the springs from the buffers, or ensure the 'face' of the kadee is lined up with the buffer when extended. That way you should be clear for lock!
  21. Oh yes http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/770-ROTEM-Livery-Mistake
  22. And by Craven I mean mk2
  23. Sounds like lovely work Riversuir! Any chance of a photo?
  24. nasty! Is such a case, I'd be inclined to super glue the kadee to the underside of the craven nem pocket.
