Yes, the 5 is very versatile and can be retrofitted to most coaches and wagons with a bit of cutting and some pieces of thin plastic to use as shims where needed.
Indeed! The Kadee 5 includes a little gearbox, and the kadee height gauge is a critical bit of kit needed in general (many NEM sockets even need a little fettling)
