Hi Colin to order now and pay a deposit just order on the website and at checkout choose bank transfer as payment method You’ll then get an invoice with our bank details and just send the deposit amounts using your order ID as reference. You can then pay as suits and we’ll send you a receipt for each payment. Hope that’s clear!

Yes we can take manual part payment using Bank Transfer, Paypal and Credit/Debit card (the first two you can send to us, the latter we need to send you a demand) We understand and appreciate that, just like for us, the A is a big investment and we'd all love them all! So we're taking on the admin and overhead to make things are easy and spread out as possible! Any questions at all just ask!
  3. Hi Kevin For now you can secure your order with €50 per loco ordered. Once we have a production slot secured in the 2019 schedule we’ll publish the timeline and the deadline for orders to be paid up if you want to have them shipped out on arrival. Otherwise you can deposit funds using bank or card or PayPal as you wish in the mean time on any schedule you wish. Every time a payment comes in be sure to use the order ID as the reference and we’ll send you a receipt for each payment as well as a periodic statement. Hope that helps!
  4. At the moment we've tried to match the render to the planned model, as well as included a livery photograph where we have one. We're up to our eyes at the moment with both A and Liner preorders, and Warley plans but the plan is a complete set of deco plates to be published for every loco on the list as soon as possible, while the CAD work lines up for tooling without delay Hi Stephen, We're making 17 - do you mean the actual loco quantity? If so that's not been 100% finalised (and may not even be shared) but our Minimum run is 250 units per number.

  16. Well folks, we have been asked in person, emailed, lobbied and have had some oh-so subtle hints over the past couple of years about making a certain locomotive. So, we have listened, and we have decided to push ahead and do an A Class for 2019. As you can see, CAD is complete. Looks well, right? We surveyed A39r with permission of the Irish Traction Group and The Downpatrick and Co. Down Railway, both of whom were most helpful and accommodating in the development of this model. They are two fantastic groups, well worth donating to, volunteering with and visiting as they keep our railway heritage alive. The A class represents a new chapter for IRM, as we have previously supplied highly detailed rolling stock items for the Irish market, alongside our sister brand Accurascale which produces highly acclaimed British outline models. Now we are moving into locomotives and powered models. As you know by now, we like to do things to a high standard, with a high attention to detail. This continues with locomotives, with the specification of the A Class is as follows: Highly detailed OO scale model Heavy metal chassis Separately applied steel detail parts, including grab handles, steps, wipers and more NEM coupling socket at correct height Five-Pole motor with two flywheels Metal Helical Gear box for maximum performance and slow speed running Gearing arranged so locomotive can achieve a scale top speed of 130 km/h DCC ready with PowerPack capacitor for uninterrupted power Two quality speakers with large sound capsules for best possible sound Fully detailed Lighting Pack, including: Directional lighting, DC and DCC Marker lights can be turned off when train is coupled to loco high beam headlight function separately switched cab lighting and illuminated, details driver’s console Engine bay lighting RP25-110 wheels OO wheels with provision for re-gauging to 21mm gauge Rotating axlebox hubs (with alternate axlebox covers for earlier versions) Fully sprung metal buffers Extra fine factory-fitted pipework Extra fine factory-fitted plastic and etched steel detail parts Two styles of windscreens depending on era modelled/livery Both Original Crossley and rebuilt GM locos catered for Minimum Radius 438mm (2nd Radius Set-track) Length over Buffers 203mm Both the original Crossley and rebuilt GM powered locomotives will be modelled in appropriate liveries, featuring detail differences around the roof, windscreen and headlights. The finished models will be offered in a plethora of liveries, including a very limited edition special edition of class leader A1 in as delivered silver with sandboxes in a special presentation box with certificate, to Green lined, plain green, black, black with yellow panel, black and tan, supertrain, supertrain with IR logos and full IR livery, with the more popular liveries to receive multiple running numbers to allow modellers build an authentic roster of locomotives. We are working on digital sound records for both power plants, and sound chips will be sold separately closer to release. Price of each locomotive will be €189.95 per loco, with €219.95 for A1 special edition and delivery of finished models is expected Q4 2019.   19. We are opening the order books on our first items of our 42ft project this weekend at the MRSI show in Raheny; the B&I, Bell and CIE Liners. And before you ask; yes, it was due to be the ferts first, but the ferts are undergoing some vigorous fettling which as you may have noticed, has delayed the whole project somewhat. So, while we get that sorted out (and we nearly have it sorted) we have swapped the container liners into first position as they are more advanced. We are doing two packs of two wagons with Bell containers, two packs of two wagons with B&I containers., and one twin pack with two wagons each featuring two 20ft CIE containers. Phew! The B&I and Bell containers are of course the C Rail intermodal containers, which are excellent in both finish and fidelity, while the CIE 20ft containers are new tooling from ourselves. We're delighted to say that we will have pre-production samples of both C Rail container liveries on our stand at Raheny this weekend for you to see. While Bell containers have been done before, they have not been done on this pattern of container, which is earlier than other C Rail Bell containers giving them an operating spehere of 70s-90s. They also new numbers unique to us. The B&I containers have never been done before, and of course the CIE containers are uniquely Irish and all new tooling. Cost per pack is €100, with a rake deal in place for CIE, Bell and B&I trains of four packs for €375. Delivery is Q1 2019. Since the production numbers of these is quite small, (half the size of other production runs like bubbles and smaller than the taras) they will sell out pretty fast. So, dont miss out on them.   22. Accurascale announce Rawie Buffer Stop packs in 4mm 11 October - Accurascale today announces the launch of the latest model in its 4mm accessory line; the Rawie buffer stop. Several variants of this distinctive buffer stop can be found across the rail network, from terminus stations, to locomotive stabling points, to motive power depots and freight yards. The variant that has been modelled by Accurascale first appeared in the early 1990s and remain a bright red distinctive feature to this day across the network. The Accurascale model will come in multiple variants, with a basic buffer stop with traditional buffer pads, a buffer stop with Scharfenberg coupling box attachment and a buffer stop with a Scharfenberg attachment with lighting pole and functioning lighting, with pick up from the track. Tooling for the models has been complete with undecorated pre-production variants of the Scharfenberg box buffer on display at the Great Electric Train Show on October 13th and 14th. Tweaks to the design are currently being undertaken by Accurascale’s factory in China. The buffer stops will be in packs of two for the basic and buffer stop with Scharfenberg coupling box attachment priced at £5.95, while the LED fitted buffer is in a single pack for £6.95. Prototypical friction pads will be provided in each pack to be placed on the rails behind each buffer stop as per the prototype. They are suitable for both Code 100 and 75 00 gauge track. Delivery is expected to be Q4 2018 and can be ordered directly from the Accurascale website once it arrives in stock. https://accurascale.co.uk/
  23. Accurascale today announces its next model; the CFMF PCA bulk cement wagon in 4mm scale and a 2mm variant in collaboration with Realtrack Models. Both models were unveiled with pre-production samples at the Great Electric Train Show in Milton Keynes on September 13th. Built by CFMF of France for wagon leasing company STS, the 50 PCA bulk cement wagons of the PC017B design diagram started entering service in 1982. Assigned the numbers STS10600-STS10651, 15 members of the fleet were hired to Rugby Cement for use on workings from Halling Cement Works in Kent to Greenford, Southampton, and possibly Bow Goods and Tilbury Riverside. Meanwhile, other examples were leased to Blue Circle for use on a number of workings. This included: special cement (e.g. Sulfacrete) from Swanscombe to destinations that included Barnstaple, Bristol Avonside Wharf, Exeter Central, Leeds Marsh Lane, Middlesbrough Goods, Southampton and Theale; special cement from Rhoose to destinations that included Bristol Lawrence Hill, Carmarthen, Exeter Central, Gloucester Llanthony, Hamworthy, Plymouth Friary and Taunton; oil well cement from Snodland to Chacewater; and bulk cement from Westbury to destinations that included Barnstaple, Carmarthen, Gloucester Llanthony and Southampton. A further batch of 15 wagons was manufactured in 1985 by another French firm, Fauvet-Girel. Numbered STS74030-STS74044 and assigned design diagram PC017C, these vehicles received Rugby Cement livery and replaced the wagons from the previous batch which had been leased to that company. All wagons were re-liveried in 1996 when they were leased by Castle Cement for use on workings to London – initially to Kings Cross freight depot and then to the freight facility at St. Pancras from 2003. Since 2013, a number of these wagons have also been used on workings between Clitheroe and Avonmouth. Realtrack Models previously announced a model of this distinctive wagon, but approached Accurascale in Spring 2018 with a view to forward the project, while also developing a 2mm variant. The two companies have worked together to bring forward the model, with Accurascale releasing the 4mm wagon under its own brand and Realtrack releasing the 2mm model under its banner. Accurascale’s 4mm version will see the model released in STS dark grey, Rugby Cement and Castle Cement branding, featuring multiple running numbers in packs of three. The 4mm packs are priced at £69.95 for 3 wagons, with attractive reductions across all three liveries for rake bundle deals. Each wagon is at the standard customers expect of Accurascale, with over 100 separate parts in each wagon, with the highest attention paid to accuracy, detail and running quality. Ease of conversion to EM and P4 is also incorporated, as well as NEM pockets at the correct height. A factory sample has been received in both scales and a number of tweaks and corrections are currently being made before production. Realtrack will release the wagons in the same three liveries as Accurascale, with prices TBA. The project is well advanced with Accurascale’s newest factory and a delivery date of January 2019.   24. Hi Railer, 2018 has been an excruciatingly busy year for us, where not much might have 'appeared' on the surface, we've been the proverbial swans behind the scenes. Our Ploughs are on time and schedule, and due shortly, and the entire 'project 42' tooling will be underway in the coming weeks, so we'd hope the items on that list will start arriving before Chinese New Year at the latest. We've also some exciting new things being announced at month end, and beyond, and an even more exciting 2019 programme already in the works, as well as an extensive range of Accurascale UK outline items. We've now three factories up and running and smoothed out in China, with no less than 6 projects underway across them as I type!
  25. Hi everyone, As you may already know by now, our highly anticipated Tara Mines wagons were due to leave our factory in China a couple of weeks ago for their long journey to Dublin. In fact, they did leave the factory, and headed to the airport for their first of two flights. Unfortunately, nature took its course and as a result of a ‘Super Typhoon’ hitting the model railway manufacturing region of China, our delivery of Tara’s was delayed. All flights were cancelled, and as a result our consignment missed the connecting flight from Beijing. As a result of the storm itself, the fall out and damage caused to local infrastructure, getting them out of China was impossible for a number of weeks. China's logistics channels is also amid all the Christmas market stock leaving the Far East for Europe, so it is currently logistics silly season and getting a new slot on a plane proved quite the challenge. The good news is that we have finally secured a way for them out of China after much searching around, phone calls, emails and annoyance of several logistics managers. The not so good news is that there was no space available by air, and instead they are travelling by sea. This means that they will now arrive in approx six weeks time. Apologies for this delay, but sadly nature is something we can’t legislate for in this instance. We will keep you up to date and will have more news when we have it. We are just as disappointed as you are, and we really wanted them here for the three day show in Raheny in October, but it's just the way it goes. As compensation, we will have plenty to see at the show, including an additional new model announcement on Saturday, October 27th, so make sure you come and see us!
