  1. Nice, and subtle airbrushing. Wouldn't have noticed only Richie mentioned it!
  2. Jayz, she's even cuter than the blonde "text Flirt" honey..... Mallard, glad to hear you're better, and look forward to the happy spreading of multitudes of flexitrack!
  3. mmmmm. I see an opportunity for some SSM transfers, an Oxford van and Richie's styrene magic....
  4. Surreal, and sums up just how weird the 70's were. A strange melange of pop-era and residual Victoriana. Only for the fact that I lived through the period, I'd hardly believe it.
  5. The JCB and low loader were from the same original Airfix mould. http://www.airfixrailways.co.uk/Lowmac.htm But Dapol did the smart thing when they bought the moulds and sold the loader and the JCB seperately.
  6. Lovely work with those MK3s. The window stickers really make a difference!
  7. Wow, the design style on that advertisment looks a lot older than 1956...
  8. Flange Lubricator??? Oh Vicar! Awesome moniker must be said, if a tad.......graphic.
  9. Yup, seriously atmospheric, looks like the inchicore barrier line, but with GM's. Great job on the pocket wagons, transfers and brass sides came out very well But the cardboard Norfolk Line 45's are just the Dogz Nuts. Now formally on my "to get" list. Oh and well done on the hoppers, I don't doubt a LOT of work there.
  10. Sucking on a Woodbine, with a beady eye on the clock...
  11. Amen to that brother!
  12. Lovely, gentle layout. And great use of backdrops and trees to soften the corners. The bridge is a well selected centrepoint.
  13. Verily, but we are not worthy. Lovely job Richie, pure class. Love the stencil holder.
  14. Yup, depending on general sponds required, a purchase will be considered here too...
  15. That looks just lovely. Well done. The glazed windows make all the difference.
  16. I'm lovin' that first offset junction one. Most unusual.
  17. Wow, what's the microphone-like thingy on the top?
  18. Stevie, they're hard to get and can be expensive (€.30), but frankly worth every penny. Enter "Locomotives and Rolling Stock of the Coras Iompair Eireann and Northern Ireland Railways" on amazon.co.uk and there are 3 in stock at the moment.
  19. Stevie Summarises it nicely. Hirch and Doyle's "Locomotives and Rolling Stock of the Coras Iompair Eireann and Northern Ireland Railways" will clarify these details for you.
  20. You won't regret it, and there is a quality article on painting figures as well.
  21. Too right Kirley, I've been out of the country for several weeks....
  22. Jayz, I'd forgotten about that.......
  23. There is an excellently written 10 page article in this month's British Railway Modelling magazine of Paul Green's scratchbuily Kilbrandon layout. This is an S Gauge modelling based on the Killorglin/Iveragh area. The station with its Killarney style canopy is a joy to behold. There are also fine handbuilt models of: J15 100 (sister of No. 90 preserved in Downpatrick) D19 the Kerry Bogie T&CR 2-6-0T Hunslet Beg, borrow or steal a copy! I know Paul from the time that I bought SSM from him. A complete gent and connoisseur of fine ale and blues at the Dirty Duck Alehouse! (Wrenner can vouch for the quality of this venue too )
  24. Michael, just to pass on my deepest sympathies to you and your family at this time on your loss.
  25. By the hokey lads, but yer observation skills are pure class. Store Street detectives have nothing on yez! And the light cluster and rear window curvature on the car would clearly indicate that it is indeed an Anglia. As for location I won't argue with our architect in residence. Well up Richie.
