  1. I did them yellow Stephen to break up the grey. And to keep the H/S boys happy.
  2. Thats the photo/livery I was thinking of Fran. But with my own little twist on it.
  3. Took a long time just to get the look I wanted. (fresh out of the paint shop look) I made the exhaust rusty to make the model look like she had been overhauled. As for fictitious liveries I agree with you but I have been itching to do this to a 201 for a while just to have something different on the layout. Maybe IE might paint one for real someday. Seriously thinking of doing a 111 in original Hunslet maroon with yellow striping. What do you think.
  4. As dusk settled down in Ballykay 230 in her new livery was taken out of the paint shed for refueling ready for her early start in the morning on the Ballina liner.
  5. Fantastic model Leslie, great to see it in the flesh today
  6. Would look good at the top of your stairs with the Enterprise running through it
  7. Someone once told me that the blackbird leaked fuel while sitting on the tarmack. When in flight she swelled with the heat from the friction of passing through the atomsphere. I don't know if its true or not but it sounds good. Great looking models George.
  8. Thanks for that not that far for me to Drogheda and theres alway a chance you get an 071 there as well.
  9. Do Wills or anyone do these triangular type. Something I've always been meaning to get for my layout
  10. Thats it now Seamus. Nice bit of camera work with the sunset at the end.
  11. What route do the 29000 work as I'm hoping to get down to take a few photo's of the new livery
  12. Thanks guys. Its the usual Bangor rush on at the minute so I don't have a lot of time. I will hopefully get a video during the week for you. If anyone is interested Chris Dyer will have a couple of these for sale at Bangor.
  13. One of the new CAF 4000 DMUs arrived into Ballykay station this morning
  14. Stephen I've had a play about with the double motor system on DCC and the best decoder for running the 2 motors at the minute looks to be TCS. I've tried several brands of decoder and the TCS handels the 2 motors nicely. As for the Silver Fox A/C class yes its not exactly 100% but with the SSM detail kit and a little work you can have a fairly decent model of the A/C class until someone comes along with a 100% RTR model I'm quite happy with the SF version.
  15. Check this guy out on YouTube. He's from down under, he's building a large layout based on American BNSF, If you go through his videos he has some great tips on layout building, wiring and track laying. https://www.youtube.com/user/FishplateFilms/videos?view=0&flow=grid
