  6. Ahhhhhhh Seamus your making me blush. It's always nice to get positive feedback for my work from the site members. Thank you all
  7. Paul she is OO a straight repaint of a Bachmann N Class with one or 2 little changes
  8. Just seen it on the BBC 1 o'clock news it will be great to see another old girl take to the sky. There was also a news item on just before Xmas about some Spitfire's buried some where in Asia during the end of the Second World War and the hunt is on to find them. So it just goes to show you that you don't know what's hidden out there.
  9. Dave when your up with me you can have a look at my code 100 track and that should give you an idea after seeing Boskonay's code 75 as to what way you want to go. I chose the code 100 as I've some older stock I like to run from time to time that wouldn't run on the code 75. With over 50 Lima mk3's it just made more sense to to me to stick with the code 100.
  10. No mate the K Class and J17 will probably be left as is. Although a very light smoke dusting along the top of the boiler and roof my be applied just to make them look like they are well looked after preserved RPSI locos on rail tours
  11. Here you go Colm she was the black one with Southern wrote on the tender side. I was going to buy the green one but even I didn't have the heart to repaint her. http://www.irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/1321-J17
  12. Looks like a young Garfield and Warbonnet on the box :dancing:
  13. Yes they are a good company they used to airbrush a lot of the competition show cars. I remember them painting Phil Neil's from Portadown Audio Advice Renault 19. An absolute stunning paint job. http://2004.mtxaudio.eu/spip.php?article1188
  14. Happy Birthday Bro. Have a good one
  15. Yes looks like them
  16. Great find
  17. Happy New Year Guys I hope you all have a good one:bishopbrennan::bishopbrennan:
  18. Seamus I used various humbrol paints mixed together to get a colour I was happy with. The J17 I did a slightly lighter shade than the K Class. Jhb171achill was saying that there should be a tinge of blue in the K class grey and it took me a long time to achieve this and looking at photos etc I'm not saying I've cracked it but its as close to the photos as I can make out. Take a look at the K Class in the last 4 pics in the link below as its under different light and you can see the colour better. http://www.irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/1323-CIE-K-Class
  19. More pics here Bud http://www.irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/1323-CIE-K-Class :tumbsup::tumbsup:
  20. Jhb171achill said that a lot of steamers ran with eau de nil flying snails and pale yellow numbers. As for running she is a beaut but doesn't have the pulling power of the K Class I did http://www.irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/1323-CIE-K-Class
