  1. Phew! I thought that was wasted....
  2. Don't Kader make some stuff for Hornby?
  3. A common sight on the road in Stafford at one time.. ..still happens a bit - usually in the middle of the rush hour.
  4. Perhaps this is the Ultimate Question - and the answer really is 42.....
  5. Is it 42 or 4? ?
  6. Well, not actually listening now, but I've just got back from an evening of PiL. Far better than I was expecting. I was surprised to see Lu Edmonds there - seen him a fair few times with the Damned and 3 Mustaphas 3 but didn't realise he was involved with PiL. Top stuff..
  7. What an absolute work-of-art - 7mm really is the way to go, if I had the space and a supply of RTR models...
  8. Oh! Has it started yet?
  9. Have you cleaned the 'tyres' and the tracks where the pick-ups run..?
  10. You could pretend that a Jinty or an N class/Woolwich had survived...
  11. Am I the only person that saw 'Guinness derailment' and thought "So what? We've all suffered from that many a time..."
  12. Well worth the effort. For me, the most important were the big K, Can and La D - Ashra's Blackouts LP is worth a listen, too.
  13. Don't try this at home...
  14. Has 'She' seen it? Looks big enough for a dog-house...
  15. Best to have the lights off after 'closing time'....
  16. My favourite - I do hope at least one can be saved.
  17. I've just seen that the whole programme is available on YouTube - it came up as a link when I was watching a bit of La Düsseldorf stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=cHUwkYkn_kA
  18. This - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00nf10k/Krautrock_The_Rebirth_of_Germany/ - is on BBC4 on Saturday. It's been on before and is quite good. It covers most of the Krautrock scene, but misses one of my faves - La Düsseldorf. People have put some real effort into videos based on their stuff.
  19. I saw them upstairs here - https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=newport+shropshire&hl=en&ll=52.768683,-2.37817&spn=0.001358,0.002411&hnear=Newport,+United+Kingdom&gl=uk&t=h&z=19&layer=c&cbll=52.768683,-2.37817&panoid=d64fAaFbY5mCpmwgMhc3Bw&cbp=12,340.8,,2,-2.95 - Newport, Shropshire, in The Village, now Central Square, a punk band every Friday, young farmers every other night. My mate was looking at a poster on the stairs when Sharkey saw him and asked "Do you want one of them, mate?" "Yeah!", so he ripped it off the wall and gave it to him... Great place - Ruts, Lurkers, Vapors, B Movie, Members, Tenpole Tudor, UB40, Adam & the Ants, Distractions... + loads more..
  20. In the heading banner you should see 'Settings' - click on that and you should get a page with a box on the left - 'My Settings' - in there should be 'Edit Avatar' - that should let you sort it out...
  21. Also worth looking out for are Maun parallel-action pliers. Much better for holding items and squeezing things together, as the jaws stay parallel all the time. Some come with a very efficient side-cutter facility, as shown.
  22. Good stuff, though - well worth getting the full set, although the medium (grey) gets the most use. I'm also a fan of the Swann-Morton Retractaway scalpel. The blades stay sharp longer, as they're not jangling about - and you don't find out how sharp they are when rooting in the toolbox..! You can fit most of the blades in, though the 'hook' one won't fit, and then etch the shape on the handle so that you can find the right one easily.
