Is it hard to remove the numbers from Murphys 071's and what do you use to remove them??
  3. The report was that what really put First Group off was the fact that when they asked for the wiring diagrams for the units there was sketchy details of mods carried out during the years and that the class had ended up with no two units having the exact same wiring which is an absolute nightmare for unfamiliar electrical staff trying to find a fault. As for this being a sad sight if you suffered them on a regular basis and not just as an enthusiast then I'm sure you would be only too delighted to see them as a coke can, they ended up along with the Class80's almost causing the closure of the lines north of Ballymena and Whitehead.
  4. Hi, I was wondering if someone could guide me to the workbench section in which these wagons were painted up for irish service. Although not like the irish prototype they did look very well.
  5. If the wife lets you off with this you'll get away with ordering another Murphy 071!!
  6. In the American market which is vast compared to the irish one once the manufacturers moved to China and could make a ready to run wagon for about 5 dollars more, the Kits have virtually died a death.
  7. I wonder what colour his pants are?????????? https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=vsxVfSwW2F8
  8. Lovely pictures. Is it just me or are these coaches improved on the originals in that the paint scheme lining seems more defined.
  9. Yes I saw that but am sure it will be 2015 by the time we see them from Bowser going on past releases. I'll see if am still living first.
  10. Is it a great day or an expensive one!!!!!!!

  12. A short video of a SD40-2W pulling out of town
  13. Thanks for the comments and the video is a cracker. The North Americans seem to prefer the Tsunamis. I also got a photo used as a header picture for this super blog about Canadian Railways http://tracksidetreasure.blogspot.ca/
  14. The Alco Loksound is really clear in real life and the speed control is far superior. I have a video of an Intermountain SD40-2w and it is awesome!
  15. A couple of videos you decide which is best. Tsunami
  16. Great video, really enjoyed it. Just real use and abuse them until they drop.
  17. A short video of the GP9 pulling out of town. To the Irish fans this should sound familiar.
  18. A couple of pictures of my latest buy. I just cannot resist the old CP Rail.

  21. Does anyone know if they fixed the white line in the headlight area of the ie and ir versions?
  22. Here is the video as promised of the C630m with the Loksound Select sound decoder fitted.
  23. I bought a CP Rail C630m with Tsunami sound and then fitted a BC Rail pair with Loksound select. The ESU Loksound wins hands down on both sound and motor control. I will post avideo of the two sometime I have a minute.
  24. Great looking loco, hope you really enjoy. I think the big Alcos look great in any livery.
