An Evening with Studio Scale Models early 2013

Had a little Chat with Des today and we discussed the possibility of having a weekday evening with him where he shows how easy it is to tackle some of his kits in his range along with Soldering Tips. Also They will be available to pick up on the day.

This will be held in Cork City.

I normally have a Modelling evening in Marks Models Cork the last Sat of each Month (except Dec) but I hope that this would generate large interest so the shop would be out for doing the display, obviously numbers pending. If a room was booked then I reckon it would be about a E5 each to attend. We will be looking at getting a camera and Audio Visual Display for the Demo. The E5 will be to cover the Room cost only.

This will be happening in the new year once SSM and myself has settled the details.

Check out this site on :

If anyone is interested please PM me so I can do up a list of numbers.

Tks

Any chance there could be a night done in one of the Dublin Marks shops too? I think it could be a winner, failing that one of the clubs even? Good idea guys.[/TE]

This one is going to be in Cork, as I am arranging the Set up down here. Sorry guys. Going by the Response I have it will have to be outside the Shop environs.

Marks Models in Dublin shop is not a great layout for demos, No space.

A better bet for Dublin would be with the MRSI or SDMRC in there club rooms I would imagine. Maybe some enterprising individual can approach those guys or Des may be going down that avenue already.

Cheers

Hi George,

That’s a great idea. Perhaps after the Cork event may I suggest linking in with two of the main shows, Bangor in April and Dublin in Halloween making use of the show venues?
