DJ Dangerous Posted January 8 Author Posted January 8 Last night in Torviscas Bajo, just off the promenade:

Mol_PMB Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I can understand placing a container there as a temporary store, but what I don’t get is why it’s a different box every day. It’s not the easiest place to lift a container, half tucked under those trees and surrounded by vehicles. There doesn’t seem to be enough space for a machine that could lift a loaded 40’ box. I was also wondering if it would get a parking ticket! 1
Ironroad Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Despite the apparent impracticalities, the no parking sign indicates the spot is reserved for containers, as it seems to read; "Container installation from 8am Jan 7 2026 until 10pm on Jul 13 2026" So if these are being swapped out on a daily basis, expect to see pictures of a further 183 containers from Dave. And just maybe he'll catch them in the act of placing one. 1 1

Now he's piqued our curiosity it's the least he can do! 2

DJ Dangerous Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 This spot happens to be on my nightly colony route, and I do take a night or two off each month, so I may not get the full 183 pics required… If somebody wants to fly down here and tag in for the day shift, I’ll happily drop you off there with a bottle of water the night before! 2 1

Most likely, they are being delivered using a side lifting trailer(which most trailers that lift the container off are), would mean parallel parking is a non-issue..The driver would just need spare either side of the container to drop his out-riggers, and a ladder to hop on top and attach the chains.. At a guess, I would say there is possibly some construction work going on nearby or else a flooring shop using this option to make up for a lack of warehouse space.. Most of the containers were shipped from Klaipeda in Lithuania, with an odd ball from Indonesia, so wooden flooring would be my guess at the load.. 3 3

The Cul de Sac where they’re unloading would be a little tricky for access, so they probably have to reverse down from the main road. I must try get down there during the day some time.
DJ Dangerous Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 Sadly no container at all last night nor tonight, but I did see a little cutie pootie this morning in Las Galletas: 2
popeye Posted January 17 Posted January 17 That will not hold much, that building looks like a prison. I have one of those road rollers 3D printed still not painted. 1

Broithe Posted April 2 Posted April 2 If any of the boxspotters that follow this thread happen to see this one anywhere, then the Gardaí would be interested. It disappeared about a year ago, in Laois, full of donated goods for a project in Africa. I think it's a 30 footer? 2
Mol_PMB Posted April 2 Posted April 2 22G1 would be a 20x8x8’6 I think. Sorry, can’t help with its location. 1 1
DJ Dangerous Posted April 3 Author Posted April 3 Never even heard of Blue Sky Intermodal before. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like they have easily identifiable containers. They seem to have quite the mix of colours, only sharing the tiny blue circular logo. 1
