Shuttle service to Dundalk and back so your guess is as good as mine

Seen it on the 1800 - Wasn't planning to head out as I was meant to be seeing the missus but the M3 was closed so decided to avenge my disappointment.

The 14:05 & 18:05 from #Belfast and the 15:50 & 19:50 from #Dundalk will be non Enterprise services.

They will be formed of 6 coaches,  there will be no 1st+ available & limited catering.

216 still in Belmond livery???

Prime candidate for an experimental SuperTrain livery so!

Hint hint, @ttc0169

Just paint a big white NIR logo on the side!

That’ll do, that’ll do…

Although, if somebody could sneak in at night and change the plans to SuperTrain, I wouldn’t complain.

Or 071 / B134 style freight grey.

Maybe next time it ends up for maintenance in Belfast, a bit of guerilla painting by the York Road staff could put NIR on the side?

Have you booked your ferry tickets, yet?

😂😂😂😂😂

I have! And the advantage of the ferry is that I can take a big case full of paint, which wouldn't be possible on Ryanair...

Now then DJD, where’s that can of white paint and NIR logo stencils you promised me?

I must say this is an impressive station.

The catering staff weren’t confident in their ability to serve a full breakfast before Portadown (apparently first class was unusually busy) but produced me a sausage toastie and a cup of tea very quickly. Not officially on the menu but just what I needed.

The £10 go-anywhere Sunday ticket is also a superb deal.

There are very few genuine pleasures left in the world. Eating on a train is one of them.
