Galteemore
Lovely Patrick! Interesting diversion though as to why so few Irish locos bore Saints names, given the spiritual temperature of our land. Quite surprising, given the religious nature of the 1937 constitution, that the 800s weren’t called after Patrick, Brigid and Columba….

I guess Aer Lingus made up the shortfall later though!

Suppose GNR got close with 191. I think DSER may have had a few namers with saints appellation. DJ Dangerous
Is "arse" banned on the forum? I see @JasonB's post, and mine quoting him, vanished, presumably an automatic forum software thing. Maybe something that changed after a recent update? Had a quick search and... The forum software is going to censor the owners!

She chose that name because it was always going to be a church cat, hence named after a bird of pray. You've thought that out WELL!

Noel
Superb Patrick. Communion table, pulpit, organ, eagle lectern, baptismal font at the back and yer all set for MP2 or HC2. Love the communion rail and seating. Really captured the atmosphere. Pebble dash was an inspired idea. Bell tower is fab. This is a unique model that brings real character to your layout. 1

Also a statue above the front door and a date stone. 8
Gabhal Luimnigh
I haven't been inside a church in decades but you have brought this one to life, fair dues yet again.

Patrick Davey
Apparently there was a bit of an incident at Clogherhead church today. The visiting curate Fr. Hemingway went missing but eventually turned up at Bundoran after attempting to visit every location on the GNR. It seems he misunderstood the bishop’s instruction to do ‘all the stations.’ (Apologies if only those of a certain persuasion understand that!) 3
Galteemore
Even when the Bishop clarified ‘stations of the cross’ it didn’t help much. Off he went to Sixmilecross, Carrickmacross, Crossdoney, Crossgar….. 1

TimO
The statue and date above the door are priceless, absolutely spot on for country churches. However, please don’t light the candles, there’s a lot of inflammatory stuff around here. 3
Patrick Davey
Officially my new favourite tool for glazing windows. Yes it’s more work but the results are better, they really do look like individual panes methinks! 7

I experimented on spare windows and didn’t get it right, presumably because I put it on too thick, but I used an extra fine nozzle for the above, and I’m very happy with the result 1
Patrick Davey
More or less finished the church now, a few tiny details still to go eg. gutters on the tower and sacristy, as well as doorsteps. 8
Patrick Davey
The church is now in position on the layout, bedding in will follow. Looks a lot darker here than it actually is.
