Riversuir226 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Kinda back to the past with this, cut my teeth on aircraft kits back in the early 90's a combination of ex Aer Corps father and sitting at the end of the airport runway most Saturdays. The swmbo is into the warbirds ww2 era so to wreck her head I started with a typhoon;), problem now is there's a vampire, a4 in the stash. Plus while buying a new 141 today spotted a Fokker Friendship, Severn class lifeboat and a piper cub plus rail dvd all for 100 notes!!!. Now to build the blooming things....... Quote
Riversuir226 Posted November 14, 2013 Author Posted November 14, 2013 A few bits done on the A4:p Quote
RedRich Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Looking good Tom, nice renumbering job on 234 also. Rich, Quote
Georgeconna Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 The Airfix Skyhawk is a great kit. Is she gonna be Argie or Us ? Quote
Riversuir226 Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 Totally agree George, really enjoyed making it so far parts when t together really well unlike the lifeboat which is really trying the old patience... Quote
Riversuir226 Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 Looking at the Lizard decals so it ll probably be a US. Quote

Broithe Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Nice, QJ-K flies as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Quote
Broithe Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 And, of course, you could twin it with its own eponymous 34081 92 Squadron loco.. Quote
Riversuir226 Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Might be an idea for the other spitfire in the stash, slowly working through this lot at the moment. Hurricane, fouga & vampire are going to be in iac colours, f 27 either in fokker or aer lingus colours & the a 4 will be in yankie navy colours. Quote
Riversuir226 Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 The prestwin chassis's in the background are destined for a nice new rake of scratchbuilt wagons Quote
Riversuir226 Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Finally finished the airfix A 4 Quote
jhb171achill Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Are those planes narrow or broad gauge? (Running for cover...,.,.!) :-) Quote

Garfield Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 WIP - Seafire MkII Operation Avalanche.. And the Instrument Panel again - right way up... Hi Greybeema, Welcome to the forum. Lovely modelling... however, I'd advise setting up your own workbench thread as this one is for Riversuir's work. Quote
Broithe Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Are those planes narrow or broad gauge? (Running for cover...,.,.!) :-) 737s travel by rail during the assembly process... ..but, it doesn't always go completely to plan.. Quote
