UP6936
What's the purpose of the cable train?
Mayner
There was a paper on the plough train in one of the IRRS Journals during the mid 70s. The plough wagon was based on the last MGWR wagon in railway service, a WW1 surplus bogie well wagon bought in the 1920s, the original bogies appear to have been replaced with more modern BR style Ridemaster bogies. Garfield
I think Tri-ang/Hornby may have produced a model of this wagon. There could be a kit available, too.

Bachmann do a well wagon but I have a feeling it's too short for that. http://www.ehattons.com/38617/Bachmann_Branchline_33_879A_45_Ton_bogie_well_wagon_in_LNER_grey_with_boiler_load/StockDetail.aspx
Glenderg
Yeah, far too short. Reckon it's anywhere between 54 foot and 60 foot long, so I'd imagine its a scratchbuild or a cut n' shut. Won't be taking it on anytime soon, not without more info anyway.
