Jawfin Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Love the random looking genny van near the end of it Nice vid Quote
Mayner Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 There was a paper on the plough train in one of the IRRS Journals during the mid 70s. The plough wagon was based on the last MGWR wagon in railway service, a WW1 surplus bogie well wagon bought in the 1920s, the original bogies appear to have been replaced with more modern BR style Ridemaster bogies. heirflick Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 richie - are you thinking if doing the impossible? count me in if you are! Quote
Garfield Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I think Tri-ang/Hornby may have produced a model of this wagon. There could be a kit available, too. Quote

Bachmann do a well wagon but I have a feeling it's too short for that. http://www.ehattons.com/38617/Bachmann_Branchline_33_879A_45_Ton_bogie_well_wagon_in_LNER_grey_with_boiler_load/StockDetail.aspx Quote
Glenderg Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Yeah, far too short. Reckon it's anywhere between 54 foot and 60 foot long, so I'd imagine its a scratchbuild or a cut n' shut. Won't be taking it on anytime soon, not without more info anyway. Quote
