Look's like he's caught short Richie. Glad you like it Richie, however the layout is not my work and is a unused part of Ballybeg by Gerry Byrne that I am using with a new piece that will slot into it and can be poped in to my attic for handyness sake.As regards the chap by the hut-your explenation sounds good. Kirley Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Excellent work, when you say "The kit is nice but it is tricky as parts are small," I would interpret that as bloody hard work - well done. Looking forward to seeing your photos of the Level Crossing kit Quote

enniscorthyman Posted June 9, 2012 Author Posted June 9, 2012 Thanks Noel. The worst part I found in building these is Cutting out the green and red for the signal arm.I left Out these on one and perhaps will stick them in some day . Quote
enniscorthyman Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 Just a update on my SSM LC kit,and I have one gate almost done and just need to tidy up the paintwork and stick on the LC number. The gate will work on the old Ballybeg axel pole and I am delighted. I will post up more photos when more work is done. Quote

enniscorthyman Posted June 24, 2012 Author Posted June 24, 2012 Just finished the SSM ground signal kit.:banana:Quite small parts so you will need good eye sight or go to specsavers to build this kit. Quote

Weshty Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 (edited) Eamon, you have done a superb job on all the SSM bits and bobs. Junction signal (love the grating for the platform) Ground signal, people just don't realise how small it is! The level crossing is just too sweet, it really looks well insitu, particularly with the two supporting stays. It's a kit that is close to my heart as there was a lot of work to get the detail right. Top drawer sir. Edited June 24, 2012 by Weshty Typos. Quote
Broithe Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I like how rough the road is - very prototypical, unfortunately... Perhaps a few puddles? Quote

enniscorthyman Posted July 2, 2012 Author Posted July 2, 2012 This is whats going on in the man shed at the moment- I got this wills Post office kit that i am converting to a an post version. This is a fecker to build as you have to cut out windows and doors and trying to cut the plastic is a %%%%%%s. The kit comes with a nice phone box so I have tryed the paint from a cement bubble (Ivory) which seems to work well along with the an post green for the mid section. I am trying different paint shades for these dapol poles. Next on the list is to convert my hornby deltic chassis for my sound chiped a39 SF.The deltic chassis seems to run lovly and smooth. Quote

RedRich Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Are you saying Rich that Eamonn's new nickname is Dr WHO Anto I can see him wearing a curly wig, long coat, and multi colored scarf a la Tom Baker. Rich, Quote
enniscorthyman Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 Just finished both LC gates along with crossing number. Both gates work via motor, gears and decoders, however the rear gate needs more adjustment. Quote
