Ciaran -you're probably the most 'go to' reference site online for us lot! Mere thanks are not enough! If you even need free hosting :)
Thanks BosKonay, I'm glad to know people still visit it even though it's been quiet lately, worth while then to keep it up there!;)

its actually not that bad - the more i see it the more it grows on me!

I think it is the fact that it is on a yellow background. You are a lucky man living in Portlaoise Seamus there is plenty to see Per Way wise. Waterford West (Sallypark) used to be a hive of activity in the busy freight days , but sadly no more.

The All Ireland Hurling Final Replay between Cork and Clare took place in Dublin's Croke Park on Saturday 28th September. In additional to the regular scheduled services ,Iarnrod Eireann operated two specials from Cork at 0905 (MKIV) and 1000 (6 + 3 ICR). One Special operated from Ennis to Heuston (6ICR) at 1040hrs. Like previous occasions the Clare G.A.A. chartered a train from Limerick to Heuston, departing at 1200hrs and 22020 operated this service. Finally the 1045 and 1145 Limerick - Limerick Jct. service were both extended to Dublin Heuston. The 1145 service was operated by a 4 car 2800 Class.

Photographs from the morning are at Kilbridge Bridge, Monastervin and Portlaoise Stations.

Hi all,

Here is the second update of my photos, this time featuring various trains, mainly freight/pwd, at the beginning of the year through to June.

Included is the new livery on loco 071 and the weed sprayer at a variety of locations, including the South Wexford line.

I love it Ciaran, I am, and have been a regular visitor for years. I don't care how shabby 084 looks I love that livery. It's consigned to history now as there are no more IE orange locos left in the class. In the last 10 years some of the class have been outshopped in three liveries. 071 comes to mind for one. I also love the video, I have a soft spot for 112 having seen it countless times on beet duty crossing the Barrow Bridge from the inlaw's house.

Good morning all,

Pictures from the first day of my current UK trip which started yesterday. I travelled from Dublin on the 0215hrs Stena Nordica sailing to Holyhead from where I travelled onwards to Altrincham via Chester. I spent the rest of the day exploring the Manchester Metrolink system including the new branches to East Didsbury, Rochdale and Droylsden.

Pictures start at http://smu.gs/19X5GOg

Enjoy,

Rich,

Thanks Rich, I wasn't fond of the black and silver, little did we know that that livery itself would start to be replaced so soon! If only I had done more with 112, that was the first time I was in Navan to get a Tara and she appeared on it, was delighted! :D
