Jawfin Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Great film - funny it says that 99 locos are being produced in total, being 36 Cs and 63 As... Quote
h gricer Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I think the original order was 100 locomotives from Metropolitan Vickers, 60 A classes and 40 C classes, but with the closure of branch lines and other cut backs, the order was reduced to 34 C classes, in total 94 locomotives where delivered. josefstadt Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Great film - funny it says that 99 locos are being produced in total, being 36 Cs and 63 As... The film was made by Crossley Brothers. The statement '... 99 engines made by Crossley Brothers Ltd to power their locomotives ...' refers to 63 engines for the A class (3 spares) and 36 for the C class (2 spares). Quote
