Accurascale Welcomes Graham Hubbard on Board as Business Development Consultant

We are delighted to announce the latest addition to our growing team; industry legend Graham Hubbard as Business Development Consultant.

Mr. Hubbard was the long serving Managing Director of Bachmann Europe Ltd., with the company formed in 1989 and becoming one of the biggest names in the model railway scene under his stewardship throughout the 1990s and 2000s. During that time the Graham Farish and Lilliput brands came under Graham's brief too, forging ahead in the British N gauge and continental markets as well as OO gauge with the branchline range.

Before his time as Bachmann MD, Mr. Hubbard ran the very successful Eastern Models, who served as importers and distributors of models such as the Bachmann US range for over 15 years.

Graham stepped down from his role as Bachmann Europe Chief 2015 after 26 very successful years in the hot seat, and since then has concentrated on his railway perseveration work with the Heavy Traction Group, among others. However, he has been itching to get back into the model railway industry and is keen to help us progress as a business with his wisdom and industry experience.

Speaking about his position with us, Mr. Hubbard outlined his excitement about his new role; “Accurascale entered the market a couple of years ago but have already made a tremendous splash with many excellent models already delivered and lots more exciting projects underway. I’m delighted to be joining the Accurascale team to assist them with their future development and giving them the benefit of my experience and background. I cannot wait to get started!”

Commenting on Accurascale's latest team member, MD Stephen McCarron stated: "We are thrilled to have such a respected, well versed and knowledgeable colleague join our growing team. That Graham can support Accurascale is, we feel, a huge endorsement of our approach and plans!"

Graham now joins Paul Isles, formerly of Hornby, and Gareth Bayer, previously of Rapido Trains Inc. in our team, all bringing a tremendous wealth of experience to guide us on our goal to becoming a significant industry player delivering accurate and high quality railway models at a reasonable price. We look forward to seeing the fruits of their work in the coming months and years and we are sure you will be too!

It's probably worth mentioning that Mr. Hubbard was the Bachmann 'end' of the Murphy Models 141/181 partnership :)

Ah that's fascinating so he was there when it all started for the Irish model scene. You are building a very impressive and experienced team in IRM/AS. Making waves in the vast UK market that's for sure.

Good news for all at IRM/ Accurascale. Impressive growth in staff hopefully bottom line will reflect this in time. I look forward to Irish models as they come and will watch UK model development with interest.  With Graham as we found at Warley MRC you cannot keep a good man down- an invaluable member of our show host team  !!

Flipping heck, Some Arsenal you guys are building up. Is there an onslaught coming to the UK Market soon!

Widespread rumours have started that it's not just the UK at risk, but the entire world.

Expect announcements shortly along the following lines.

Elon Musk to run Locomotive Drive Train Development.
Bill Gates overseeing DCC matters.
Jeff Bezos controlling Distribution.

People weren't too concerned about Genghis Khan when he first started out with a few mates - but, once he got going...
