1/32 Scale Mountfleet Round Table Minesweeper
Georgeconna replied to Georgeconna's topic in Aviation & Maritime Modelling
Nearyl done, Just stumbled on the Aerials set up as these needed to be removable from the Main mast. I tried some very thin brass wire but could not get the tension I liked and when too taught snapped the mast white metal cross bar. In the end the Daughters jewellery box and a nice sized elastic thread came to the rescue. Oh yes the crew, These lads will have a big problem doing the Hoky Koky when it comes to the left arm.......say no more. -

Birmingham / WMT Leyland Fleetline Buses from Rapido Trains UK
Georgeconna replied to DJ Dangerous's topic in Bus models
"Explains why the Murphy Models 1916 set didn't fly off the shelfs" - Mostly cause people were not bothered with that set. I think was it late coming out too? Mr B's Thread says in 2018: "the Murphy Models MM1710 arrived at the Talbot Hotel Toy & Train Fair yesterday" Can't remember ever selling one in the Cork Shop. Did not float my boat either. I think the Selling the Fire engine on its tod would of been a better bet but It did have Dublin on it so..... Sets still for Sale in Rails for £45 notes..... The Rapido bus is looks massive over the Diecast Jobs IMHO. -

Looked at this review, Pleasant enough, she could basically cut the time in half, goes over the loco, explains this and that and goes over it then again and allocates a score instead of just dong the score in the first place. You will want a Degreaser when you get that loco back:) Now back to Canoe Technique's for me trip tomorrow!

Seen on Twitsville today. May the Frothing begin! There is no U Class down in the West either as far as I know so lets rule that out. There is a 3-Cig though!

For those that have the Book of faces this popped up on the missus feed as she is from there. Now consigned to memory, Track was ripped up. In glorious HD VHS. Crosshaven Notice Board | Not my video. Found this on utube a few years ago | Facebook

New IRM Announcement - Original Taras! (and Newer Livery too)
Georgeconna replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
Got enough 201's TBH I won't be buying anymore, Probably need to shed some of them. I like them though, very nice runner. -
I have both the Oxford (ugh) and Hornby Adams Tanks. Your track has to be perfectly level for the oxford one to enable it to get around your track without treading water on the track.

I'd put me money on a C Class to be next, Loads of liveries to get the cash into the Shareholders pockets so they can get in a trip to Bray or even a Hunslet to go with the Coaches. Good few Liveries for that loco too. I would imagine an earlier DMU would pop out before a 22 due to the orange era being fairly popular with all the different motive power. A Tie up with the RPSI would be Fab and bang out a few Steamers that are currently on the grid as you could run them with your modern stuff and the lonely RPSI cravens and also the RPSI could benefit from a few bob from the models themselves with a bit of luck. Imagine a top range J15 all the bells and whistles....well just whistles, moving inside motion , flickering firebox glow, laser Scanned IRM Crew figures. Real coal. Sound....oh arrr missus. Could even licence a Great Train Robbery Pack with a Connery Figure and a full size model of Kent Station.

No 1, better off putting these onto a Gloss Surfacem your grey wagon looks matt. I find you cant mix sol/set with Klear, it goes milky when together. Use an Enamel gloss varnish or Alclad gloss coat. It could be that the decals are probably too thin for the Red bottle, Maybe just try the blue, Pat down with Kitchen Towel. When it dies then coat with clear.

Been playing with the Mk.2 for the fist time with an A in Charge, Goodness me the couplers are so springy they like to uncouple every lap on medium speed. Breaking my heart today there are.

Once fully set, any outstanding cracks (more of a feature with Humbrol Airclay than DAS) Tried that clay for an Engine shed Floor, Cracked up and peeled up, Was not too pleased with the result
