  1. they did and it was a tiny metal Washer that went over the bogie pivot pin. I got them but never actually got around to stick em in. US Market Gray option I'd say. Last pic is off the rails Dave? loosing your touch?
  2. And TBH I though 60 notes was a heavy enough price!
  3. its probably a selfie or checking the eye liner. Different liner to what we are interested in.
  4. Nah Following the footsteps of Hattons and Hornby. may as well cash in I suppose. Lots of thought went into these and it creates a massive cost saving for modellers on a budget. Inter changeability will be the next thing, Swapping coach bodies on a generic chassis. Cant wait for my stuff to come. I would actually love to see this up on the Ebay to see what you get for them!
  5. Order gone in lads. finger on the pulse as usual! https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/163570-new-accurascale-coach-range-welcome-to-our-haulmark/
  6. I just used Copper clad PCB board cut down and the wires soldered directly to that. It seems all sorts of fancy stuff out there now. Are these the ones the Wexford lads used on the O Gauge Layout?
  7. I started also on the leccy side with a sound box for the speaker being made and installed, I need to work on the where will the best place will be for the other leccy bits n bobs I need.
  8. And the Boat Yard is on O/T this week. Windows in, Gun Platform more or less done I need to get better cowl vents and the ones supplied are just very poor and too thin to tidy up as per the pics and the hole that has appeared in the one I tried to do. and the leccy stuff is being worked on and where best to place what is needed where, Although it is s huge hull the batteries and smoke unit take up
  9. NOCH 15959 for those figures Dave.
  10. With a week off managed to tip away between the Garden and the Shed so a good jump in progress. I had to replace the lost rivets and used snipped Peco track pins for the Rivet heads. With some consultation and research I have discovered these ships were painted in Home Fleet Grey which was a much darker shade which now makes the ship more sinister and war like! Humbrol 145 was used, initial coat with pre shading done.
  11. People tow the Party line, China at best is a shadowy place complete with poor work practices. Maybe slowly changing but I personally would not live there no matter how great the lads are, It only for the Yankee Dollar they please.
  12. Yes I saw it on the first view I had, Just so cool!
  13. Some bits came through from Blighty today, No Customs so managed to save 20 notes! Speaker, Relay switch of the Searchlight, Power board and a variable speed Fan unit. Got a nice surprise from Marks Models to, Will be having this with a cuppa at 9PM Also the grab rails and Stanchions with handrails were done for the gun tub.
  14. That's a right ol shame, Happened to Crosshaven's track too, in the end it was ripped up. I imagine there is just not the interest here to support this type of engineering modelling in Ireland. the missus came across a Video of it in the 80's recently, Was jammed packed too. When I lived in Hounslow in the 80s I used to pop up to Harlington on Sunday am to watch their live steam stuff
  15. Gun Tub is Styrene Galtemore, Quite pleased on how it turned out TBH! Here are some more pics showing the stowage boxs and the Companion ways build, Sealed and sanded ready for a splash of colour. Its starting to look a bit busy now!
  16. Reporting from the Man Cave, Bit more done over the last day and a half. Stern Gun Tub is built and some Ammo Lockers.
  17. Well done, Sadly not if interest to meself. Did I mention Schoolbus!!
  18. Slowly working away on this now the nights are a bit warmer! Tried a few different grey paint on this one and will settle of the grey shown here. I have put down a floor and scribed the floor boards on the ply and the Steering wheel and Steam powered wheel is installed and I will add some details in the wheel house walls to add a bit of interest not that there was much in there anyhow! The Hand Rails took flipping ages to get right, Lots of curves and bends plus the White metal handrails were pretty badly molded. A new Flag locker was made as the one laid out on the plans was too small. I either did not get the white metal steering arm or lost it so a plastic one was attached to the Rudder post, Hope it holds! The Searchlight platform was also constructed.
  19. Nah they worked grand except for that little (big) Problem , nice an quiet, no Massive Thuds and yes there is wires but you don't have to rely on a crappy microswitch to change the frog polarity. ah well.
  20. Will I am Glad I did not Progress fast on this one, Turns out all the digital Cobalts I got have to go back for repair as they kept losing their addresses every time there was a short, all off them (13) bar 2 had to be re-adressesed each time, Right PITA. Some Component was snuck in apparently that was defective which was causing this to happen. This should be fun with Brexit....
  21. 009 I'd say for Marks one by the looks of it.
  22. Saw that in the Flesh in Dortmund, Fantastic Layout, The Little Lad playing trains in the fore ground, different scales then for the forced Prospective. The Farrier bashing away and course the disappearing Passenger at the Halt. Sumblime.
