I must admit it was a an MIR 141 kit that took me on the Irish route. Previously my memories of Irish stations was used jacks rolls accompanied by the odd human deposit. Normally on my journey to Shannon in the 80;s for a spotting day. Kit building actually made it attactive to me. As time goes on kids get older, Time gets less and less, I could never understand when flying RC in my Twenties that 'old fellas' never had time and had to leave early to cater for familt needs. I find myself in that boat with tens of hundred of kits and too little time to enjoy them! Embarressingly enough I never bought one of Leslies beet wagons although I admire them for afar, probably in the back of my mind they will be joining the rest of the unbuilts and in 5 years time a nice shiney RTR comes out and the kits put aside or moved on.

Christ looks like a Scrap yards not to mind a preservation Society. Looks Like way too much taken on at one time not to mind processing Track Panels too at the same time.

well that looks quite nice in all fairness and something I'd be very happy with! If you got the roof down a wee bit better you'd be sorted.

Yes long gone, used to like popping down there every now and then. some Good RC gear too. George was a sonud chap and organised the Local Waterford model shows too which were quite good. A quick pop over the river to the Station then to have a gawk at whats about then. He mostly catered for the Local RC Scene, If a bricks and motar shop is required well I think the shop closing down answers that question for you.

yes it is the orginal airfix one! It would make a nice diorama on it own! Hears a link to the Gearbox, If you source one in Europe all the better. This Sunny Market crowd have a US address but it shipped from Coronaland. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Ddiy&field-keywords=TOOGOO(R)+DC+6V+60+RPM+High+Torque+Electric+Replacement+Gear+Box+Motor -
Started this one back in 2012 I'd say with the aim to have it done for the 100 Anniversary, Big fail. It is the Acadmey kit with Laser Cut wooden Decks Etch Hand Rails etc. heres the current status of the re start, bit of Rigging and the decks stuck together. Getting there!

Currently building a Dapol windmill, surpising good for its age especially the brick engraving is still ok. It is based on a 17th century Mill called Pitstone Windmill, I ordered a little 6V motor with gearbox from guess you know where, the package was wiped down before opening and it is glued in situ and will be glued directly to the sails. It is to be wired up to a cradle with 4 x 1.5V batteries should give a nice slow rotation. No sure if there is DCC sound for a windmill yet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitstone_Windmill I have mucked about with some Scenery and laid some 3mm static grass to test the waters. However I mixed up some 8 and 12mm strands and had a complete failure with them refusing to stand up. I dont often have that problem. I'll hover them up and try again. I know the tree looks shite too but was trying some hedge cuttings. anyhow nice to show the good with the bad every now and then!! I tend to be failing more the successing these days... -
Few things going here lately. Mk.111 EGV using the Bedford Etch, The Studio Scale one is Far Far better. Need a bit of weathering to set it off. Not to exciting but a rake of MK.111 repaints into IR logo'd livery. I need to weather these as is, when done then I have Shawplan glazing to stick it as the Hornby glazing is unusable and then SSM Etched Window surounds.

Order Placed, Cracking stuff. Well done lads. Dont forget a Class 37 in Supertrain too at some stage. These will certainly hold thier Value in the coming years. -
Yeah we should send them the bill as as well for the flights out and back, not to mind paying them for the stuff. The amount of quotes I ama getting in looking to bring PPE in from china is unreal. <4000 deaths they had and now they are coining it again. Unreal.
