Sad news RIP Paddy Murphy, my condolences to his Family The Irish model railway scene was transformed by Paddys models, I remember seeing the 141/181 locos when launched and it was wow, many more excellent models followed 071 and Cravens were superb a huge thank you from all modellers of the Irish railway scene.

ICR looks fantastic on a stunning layout

Sure was nice selection of snacks Impressive ICR on a stunning layout hope testing goes well

The 3 car set on display looked very impressive

The 800 models on display were stunning, not my era but very tempted to order one now

There was a 4 car Dart+ unit in prototype grey running on the Kildare layout looked impressive was told hopefully be on sale sometime in 2026 all going well

Enjoyed the visit to the SDMRC show a fine number of layouts and traders, good crowd there but not too busy, Barrack Street layout was excellent had a chat with Chris good to meet forum members, Rathmichael one of my favourite, Fremo group layout modules, the fabulous MRSI Dundalk works Boyne viaduct, Dun Laoighaire Dart and Kildare town had the Murphy models new DART prototype running, Past avenue excellent, there was also fine N gauge Schneeweiss, Eire N with Dart units, and O gauge layouts. Bought a Craven snack carriage from Dave Bracken good selection of models, Murphy Models had the new Dart on display and 141/181 locos, IRM had a 3 car ICR looks excellent as was the 800 Well done to all at the SDMRC for a great exhibition

The Dcc model sound and light options are excellent on the test model hopefully the work is near complete a bit disappointing it will be mid 2026 but will be worth the wait
