  1. It's a Silver Fox set. I know that SF is taboo for some, but standing a few feet back, they look grand. Agreed, they'd be wonderful to go with the upcoming 121's. DC Kits had a Mk3 DVT kit At one stage, but I think that's now out of stock.
  2. I'm sure I can find another unused organ to sell. A kidney for the Mk3's and a lung for the Mk4's? My layout is only a board that slides under the bed, and i am happy running five or six Mk3's on it:
  3. I'd sell a kidney for high standard Mk3's and Mk4's with the appropriate DVT's.
  4. At the risk of sounding cheeky, are there any photos of the progress of B134?
  5. Probably simple supply and demand. Models that are more scarce will "seem" more desirable. The 141's are harder to find these days, so we pay a premium. The NIR and grey 071's were limited runs (I think) so we pay a premium. The Intercity 201's were early to sell out so command a premium. Value is perceived by the buyer. If an NIR 071 is worth three tippex 071's to a buyer, then they've set the models desirability level at that themselves. Pretty sure that the NIR 201's were also smaller runs, so we can expect to see them go for crazy money in five years time.
  6. I'd love some Mk3's and a DVT... But I'd also love to see something railcar based, ie a DART, an Arrow etc. My layout is just a board that slides under the bed, nothing more, and a two / three / four car passenger unit would be ideal for that. Come to think of it, a powered two-car unit expandable with unpowered two-car units would be ideal.
  7. Hey, I thought that you were a ghost? How about an orange and black 230 with CIE roundels?
  8. So, is this the end of 224? If so, will 224 be used for parts to revive one of the hulks sitting outside Inchicore? Will we then see an "071 grey" liveried 201 in service?
  9. Looks the same as the Spray Tan Fresno one. Same layout, same idea, same email address, same "About Us" . According to this forum, it's exactly what it looks like, a scam.
  10. With a Guinness train servicing it?
  11. Sorry, silly question, but... Is that running era of nineties to '06 due to the height of the cages? As in, would an accesory pack of cages with lower sides make these same wagons appropriate for somebody modelling from the seventies until the nineties? Or were the wagons themselves physically different? Thanks!
  12. IKEA Billy units are very handy for display and storage - large-scale like WRENNEIRE's or small-scale like mine. I find that for the tiny board that I run trains on, each Billy shelf holds enough stock for at least one full train.
  13. Slow down, slow down, or I'll end up living on the beach! I'm already living on bread and rice thanks to you guys. Don't worry about the well... If anything it's growing, not running dry.
  14. No Club Orange with this lot, though. Tracking these little gems down is thirsty work.
  15. I picked that Lima set up a week ago for £115...
  16. Did the entire C Class fleet survive until 1986 or were there any early drop-outs?
  17. And why would a spray tan parlour in Fresno California be selling Murphy Models stuff anyway. Their contact details also look suspicious.
  18. Somebody did, and there are several brand-new-in-box slowly winging their way to the Canaries at this very moment.
