  1. Here's a link to the MRSI Virtual Show happening this weekend: https://www.facebook.com/MRSIExpo/
  2. I like the idea of a modular system, but you'd probably want a modelling community in your area to make it feasable.
  3. I assume that the scored lines are your guide for the point where the track enters and leaves, to ensure compatibility with your friend's modules?
  4. IRM have two couplings listed under their acccessories, Instanter Couplings and Screw Link Couplings. Which type of coupling is for which loco, coach or wagon? Has anybody here fitted these, for aesthetic or actual use?
  5. Should have gone with OO gauge...
  6. Ah, would ye all stop with the P22 conspiracy theory??? Everybody knows that the RoadLiner trucks and two-tone green Dublin buses are already on the boat, and that we'll have the Mk3 push-pull sets and CAF Mk4 sets for Christmas! The laminates have been in stock for months but it's nice to hold them back a little longer and troll people. Then P47, ammonias, timbers and auto-ballasters are due for the big boys, not forgetting more Ballasts and blue Taras. P22 is on the roadmap alright but it's years away.
  7. How about a model of the B&I ferry, please?
  8. @Arran, when will you have the Bell 40' containers available again? Are you waiting until the Bell 20' containers have all sold before allowing us have more Bell 40's? As an aside, were the Bell and B&I containers 8' 6" tall? And 9' 6" is what's known as a high cube?
  9. What is 192 hauling at the end of the video? Any more Glengarriff videos? That one is truly spectacular.
  10. Just kidding, DC. The Irish market is very small compared to others, so focussing on a specific timeframe may cause headaches. I, too, have collected a few locos and coaches from the pre-historic era, and a few from the SuperTrain transition from pre-history to the dawn of IR and IE civilization. With the likes of IRM and PM putting so much at risk to produce these models, it seems almost obligatory to support them, no matter the era. Hopefully, the OP benefits from the extra publicity of having their thread hijacked and finds those autoballasters! Sorry, @RonanOC
  11. Try Chris Dyer, he usually has, or can commission, repaints. Click on his name to view his website and contact him.
  12. It comes off your bill at the very end. No problem when snapping up some Ballast Ploughs... Won't be long before there are no IR ones left!
  13. It's hard to choose a shade, but copying what somebody like you has already done, I'm happy with!
  14. Thanks TTC! Is that the same yellow that you used for the end of the container on the Weedspray train?
  15. Thanks for the info, Wexy. I have a feeling that somebody posted here on the forum, saying that Bachmann no longer do external commissions for anybody else. I also remember reading that since the Bachmann autoballasters are just UK repaints, there are several inaccuracies, as the Irish models have different chutes and different covers, something along those lines. Time for IRM to step up and get the correct ones out there to go with those gorgeous Spoil wagons! Very true, Jason, fiddling with RTR models kind of defeats the point. DC, these are from this century, why do you have an interest???
  16. So two of those packs would form a reeeeeaaaaalllly short rake, or you'd have a long rake and a load of generators to sell on...
  17. Was it only one generator per rake?
  18. Thanks TTC! What shade of yellow did you use, and where did you source the decals?
  19. Plus one! I'd kill for a rake of these... Unless IRM plan running their own version!
  20. Did you hand-paint LV1 and LV2 yourself, @ttc0169? I found one in white but couldn't find one in yellow.
  21. What a lovely post, and what a lovely way to celebrate with your clients! Thank you for all you have done for us, and long may it continue. Congratulations!!!
  22. Just like real life! That's what happened a few months ago! 50 cases throughout the archipelago, opened up the airports, climbed to 7500 cases.
  23. Are the 201's now painted in BR's "Swallow" InterCity livery???
