Has the crystal ball rolled to a halt already???

Just catching up on this thread, now, @leslie10646. Very sad to see another founding father bow out, but you can do so with your head held high. As others have said, many of us owe you a lot for what you've given the hobby. Thank you!

You’re talking to the man with four unscratchable itches, here! Three 071’s and 66779 breaking my heart. Wasn’t there mention here a few years back of the Lima 201’s fetching incredible money, as in the high hundreds?

The link, for anybody interested: https://www.ebay.ie/sch/i.html?sid=brshan-87 Some nice locos in there!

I'm pretty sure that @MOGUL sold some recently and they went for even more in the end.

Shocking! Do people not know that there’s a new run on the way, or just not care?
-
Do you have a link or screenshot, by any chance? Just curious. Shocking! Didn't think they'd go for that kind of money. Rails also have a used one for around the £170 GBP mark, one of three that they've had for months. Better off buying a loco with that money!

How'd you manage to cut it so neatly? I hate that stuff.

What’s the platform construction, @Niles? Slab of polystyrene packaging?

Love the DAF in orange again! i stripped one down but the whole cab, including glazing, was one moulded piece. How did you manage to protect the windows so well when respraying?

Absolutely fabulous!!!

Ballyercall in top form, as always. My only issue is… How is it pronounced?

The Eagle Has Landed - NIR Hunslets Next For Accurascale IRM

I was also wondering about how the sound files were / will be created. The Metrovick sound files for the A Class were created using historic recordings in the end, I think? Will there be Hunslet sound decoders available to buy seperately? -
@MOGUL is a lot skinnier than I'd imagined. Quite a busy year for you guys. Plenty of ups and downs, and I know that some things haven't been perfect, but overall, it's been a whopper of a year. Between the lifetime guarantee, the NIR and IR Mk2's, the wide bogie packs, the Class 66's, and the models just around the corner, plus all of the awards, I say job well done. Aside from that, as it's getting close, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all here on the forum, to Team IRM and to Team Accurascale!

Merry Christmas to one and all here on the forum! Season’s greetings to all of you and your loved ones. Been a sad year in ways, for the hobby, losing some stalwarts, but that’s life, I guess, and they will live on in our memories. Less than an hour of sunlight left, so…..
